The 'chokers' may just edge it.

Smith and the last chance saloon
http://content-uk.cricinfo.com/wc2007/content/story/290859.html
“We haven’t adapted as well as we should have,” he said. “We need a bit of luck as well. We haven’t always got the better end of the wickets, and haven’t played to our potential. But **if we win the next three games, we win the World Cup. **We haven’t achieved our level in this tournament, which has been disappointing, but we know if we perform, we can turn it all around.”
“There’ll be a lot of heat and pressure on both sides,” Smith said. “If we win tomorrow, we’ll put a lot of things behind us. But winning tomorrow isn’t winning the World Cup. It’ll be a good start, take us to semis and we’ll take it from there.”
“We’ve not played the cricket we are capable of,” Smith said with characteristic candour. “We’ve got to look at our cricket and see why we’ve not played well.”
Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados
KP will factor for sure. I'm tipping a sneak from England.
Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados
What Smith is talking about this ‘If’ factor? ‘If’ Smith would have been born a girl he would have been a woman. ‘If’ his mother was Queen Elizabeth II, he would have been Prince of Wales.![]()
Isn’t that ‘if’ factor true with all teams? What type of sentence **’If’ **we win the next three games, we win the world cup] is that?
I think that Smith should stop thinking about that ‘if’ factor and should start believing on his team and be positive. He should start talking of ‘will’ and ‘would’ factor, instead of ‘if’ and ‘luck’ factor, regardless of what happens on ground. He should start saying ‘We ‘will’ win that next three games and ‘would’ get the world cup’ :).
Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados
This should be a tight game. Unlike yesterday when it was not a "must win" for each side, this one really is such a game.
I think England will pull an upset. As they are not favorites. Or Is there one even? with SA also being down on their luck it might just be even odds right now.
Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados
England won the toss and elected to bat.
Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados
I think England might just pull it off today. Depends on their score.
Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados

Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados
9/1
bell gone
Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados
SA bowling is too tight...Vaughn just scored 2 runs after 18 balls...
Eng 9/0 off 7.2 overs...
Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados
Bell gone 9-1, served England right. How many times have we seen sides lose wickets when their batsmen go into their shell?
Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados
Bell...gayaa....The guy was a prospect for England after KP.
Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados
Vaughan can actually bat....comes and hits a four.
Re: 17 April, South Africa v England at Kensington Oval, Barbados
Stupid English batsmen must hit...losing wickets for nothing is not an option at all...
Eng 15/1 off 8.0 overs...
