Re: 15 things you should give up to be happy
Give up trying to follow anything that has more than five rules.
Seb also had to
give up more than half of his paycheck
give up most of his time
give up practically all of the closet space
give up his freedom
His list is just a lengthy “code” for the above 4 points.
Re: 15 things you should give up to be happy
Let's all give up happiness and live in sorrow.
I'm too cool for happiness. Sorrow is the new happy.
Congratulations, you've discovered "emo".
Re: 15 things you should give up to be happy
I think for this month, mods should be adding comments to each post with respect to which rules from this list of 15 have been broken by poster.
Re: 15 things you should give up to be happy
Lol awesome idea. But then they themselves would be breaking some rule I'm sure.
Re: 15 things you should give up to be happy
^ Let me play mod and address above post - "I am sure" - Rule # 1 has been broken - always be ready to say you could be wrong.
(I think I just broke the rule re: do not criticize)

Re: 15 things you should give up to be happy
I think the key is to let go of the Expectations from everyone but that is a very difficult thing. We may think and feel that we don’t expect much but as “normal” human beings we all do it from family, friends and often from strangers too and there is nothing wrong with it but often we are disappointed when we don’t even get quater of what we had expected hence the unhappy us. I wish somebody had a remedy for this but really how can any normal, caring person not expect?

Re: 15 things you should give up to be happy
It's not about "not trying to meet the expectations of others" so much as it is about "not having expectations from others" ...

ZareenKhan:
n that is what i said .
Yes after reading more carefully ZareenKhan you did say the same thing … It was you first sentence that threw me off … “Expectations from others” to me, meant “Their expectations from us” when I said “expectations of others” it meant in my mind “our expectations of them”
I think the “of” and “from” subtly change the meaning … sorry I should have read you qualifying statement more carefully … My post should have said … I agree with you ZareenKhan … :k:
