I’m thinking of investing in a 15 eyeshadow palette, here’s my list so far but I might change 2 of them. It’s going to be a everyday/special occasion mix. And please share your best/worst eyeshadow ?
MAC Ricepaper
MAC Club
MAC Bronze
MAC Woodwinked
MAC Cranberry
MAC Fig.1
MAC Plumage
MAC Steamy
MAC Humid
MAC Contast
MAC Carbon
MAC Brun
MAC Amberlights
MAC Goldenmine
MAC Swiss Chocolate
MAC Satin Taupe - It's a brown taupe shade with a bit of silver shimmer that can be dressed up or down and is quite versatile.
MAC Naked Lunch - A peach/pink with a touch of frost that works rather nicely for daytime looks.
MAC Shroom - A soft beige with a bit of shimmer that works well for daytime or as a highlight shade.
MAC Honey Lust - A peachy bronze with a bit of lustre.
My thoughts on the shades your posted are in red below. If I put a *** by it, it means I have no complaints about it.
In addition to the comments below, I would also recommend you check out the following shades if you haven't done so already: Parrot, Satin Taupe (must have neutral!), Texture (another neutral I use often).
I also didn't see any colors that are pink/vivid purple or has orangish tones to it. So for those, I would recommend you check out the following: Sushi Flower, Stars n Rockets, Neutral Pink, Rule, Coppering
MAC Ricepaper *** LOVE! Great for highlighter
MAC Club - Do not own; Instead of this, I got Blue Brown Pigment
MAC Bronze ***
MAC Woodwinked ***
MAC Cranberry ***
MAC Fig.1 ***
MAC Plumage - Easy to blend; Personally I don't reach for this often. At least on me, this looks blah once its on. That gorgeous peacock color looks much darker. Personally I don't consider this a must-have.
MAC Steamy Do not own
MAC Humid Do not own
MAC Contrast I have this & don't like it; Makes me look bruised
MAC Carbon I have this but it's a total PITA to blend! Since you're trying to decide on only 15, get this only if you use black often in your looks.
MAC Brun Do not own
MAC Amberlights ***
MAC Goldenmine ***
MAC Swiss Chocolate Do not own
I got RicePaper (gorgeous ), Club (it’s a green-brown colour loving it too) and Mystery (perfect for my eyebrows)
I’ve been told that I’m either a NW25 or NC30. He didn’t have the NC30 to compare. So I have to wait a week or two to know what shade I am exactly.

So far I have :
*Club
*RicePaper
*Mystery
*Humid
*Cranberry
*Goldmine
*Woodwinked
Mystery is awesome for filling my brows, woodwinked is great for everyday and can do wonders on heavy eye makeup.
Ricepaper, gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous, as a brow highlighter and for the inner corner.
Goldmine, humid, and cranberry, haven't properly used them yet.
Club can look brown, green, it's a great eyeshadow that gives different looks depending on the base (green/black)
With fix+, woodwinked and club give metallic finish.
Overall, highly satisfied with MAC, it's worth the price.
I only have the Rubanesque paint pot and it's a gorgeous color...but has anyone noticed that it goes on weird? I don't know how to explain it. It's not just creasing....it's like it doesn't apply uniformly. It'll show in some areas but not others. Eyeshadow does adhere well to it though.
^RV, I know exactly what you're referring to. In some areas, it shows up more than in others and sometimes looks as if you missed a spot in applying. It seems like the pigments are not evenly distributed in the cream base. I've found that blending it with a small concealer brush helps a bit.
@ bella: No, the shadows/pigments do not crease. BTW bella, I saw your other thread about MAC shadows where you wrote you're NC42. For what its worth….when you read my recommendations above for the shadows….I'm NC40ish.
Re: Rubanesque PP. I have this and don't have the issue mentioned above regarding uneven application. I use MAC 242 shader brush to apply it. But for anyone looking for a neutral base, I #1 recommendation would be painterly.
