15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

I wouldn't use an "similie" or anything but dead ones are the invading "military", not "civilians"... so don't start shouting about religion yet.

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

Excellent point!

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

Well, my point about Qana was indeed proven to be true. The Red Cross only recorded 28 deaths, some children, not the original 56. Additionally there is now an actual video of the man who was parading around the poor dead bodies of children actually pulling bodies of children back out of the ambulance, and displaying them for the press. Qana was terrible, but the cynical manipulation of vicitms bodies was even worse. Want to see?

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

Can you post reliable sources for ur stories, not just blogs. innocent people including children have been killed yet no remorse from Israel, they all deserved death, and they even say its their fault we killed them.

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

Only 15...I thought 16 (today)...thats why IDF has halted its offensive which was supposed to last another 30 days...and now they say we are waiting for the UNSC for some diplomacy... :D

PS: Hezb must have had a lots of SAMs in its arsenal...at least 4100... :)

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

Takbeer!

Allah Akbar!

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

^ If God is so great why is the ratio of dead Muslims to dead Jews so skewed?

It always escapes me how 'God is Great' can be used when talking about people being killed.

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

^^ Allah is great...but muslims have to be great too...

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

In this case, the hard news outlets have been interviewing the bloggers who scooped the stories. Check in here, and you may find what CNN carries tomorrow:

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

100’s of kids have been killed by the defeated Israeli military in Lebanon, but these sore loser zionists will continue to make hundreds of excuses for their masters. They and their predictions have been wrong from day one. Sad people.

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

100’s of kids

Too bad Hezbollah’s 100’s of rockets fired per day have as much accuracy as a chicken with its head cut off (talk about humiliation!), or we would have 1000s of dead Israeli kids.

Sad people who get their jollies by posting the number of dead Israelis and who have to feel better about themselves by always trying to find “humiliation” for the other side. :teary1:

Since you are so keen on claiming “humiliation”, why don’t we ever talk about 50 years of tiny Israel kicking Arab butt?

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

I do not see this conflict as a numbers game. Obviously, any civilian life lost on any side is deplorable and must be condemned but this conflict is not about it. If this war carried on basis on how many civilians and soldiers killed than it probably would stop, question is credibility. Israel after that massive air assault failed to destroy Hezbollah leadership and lost huge amount of credibility both National and Internationally, right now, their leadership is fighting for its lives and keeps re-defining the conflict, which proves their trifling nature. I do not know why an average Israeli and American would support a conflict that is not only coming short of the objective but also undermining their efforts in the Middle East.

As long as, Hezbollah can fire those rockets and kill their soldiers, they will be eliminating Israel's political credibility National and Internationally that will eventually result in their demise. Is it only wise for Israel to back track, accept their loss and end this conflict.

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

Accept their loss and allow Hezbollah to continue to mass at their border, firing Iranian rockets at will? How wise is that? That won't end this conflict, just delay it till another day.

Israel has planned and executed this war poorly. The first and biggest mistake was to allow this illegal militia to become entrenched in the first place.

Before Israel can backtrack, Hezbollah must be disarmed and the legitimate Lebanonese army must take back their country.

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

The plan was to bomb Arabia (Lebanon is Arabia), and send a message across to the Arab world, and remind them whos the boss (Israel). After the bombardment, and the short war, the plan was to estabilish a ceasefire (backed by the West), ending all hostilities, so Israel could live normally, once again, while Lebanon would live with a struggling economy & shattered infrastructure.

Israel's goal was to:
1) bomb Lebanon & shatter economics activity
**2) **disarm Hezbollah

What it expected was a quick victory.
What it got was, goal #1 being achieved, while failing goal #2, which was necessary to end the hostilities through a cease-fire.

You see.. the plan was to bomb Lebanon for a few weeks, wait for Lebanon to ask for a ceasefire (or offer one to Lebanon), through which Israel would ask for the disarmament of Hezbollah. Through the bombardment, Hezbollah was expected to be weakened. But what really happened was, after weeks & weeks of bombardment, Hezbollah was still firing missiles deeper & deeper into Israel. This is clear proof that Hezbollah is still strong, and that Israel failed on its 2nd objective.

Now Israel has to do something to end the fighting. It is losing its image world-wide, and has been unable to stop Hezbollah from firing missiles. So, as it was previously planned, the ceasefire (backed by the West) was offered to Lebanon, and Lebanon rejected it (along with Hezbollah). And, this is an excellent move by Hezbollah. This is the Golden oppurtunity for Hezbollah to continue fighting, and estabilish ceasefire only with Israel giving up the occupied lands.

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

A weaker Jewish lobby in U.S would be in Muslims interest. Or, a stronger Arab lobby in the U.S.

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

If this conflict ends so, will the rockets. Those rockets did not trigger this war; they started after…now about fighting the war, Seminole. How about asking for accountability rather showing blind support for a conflict that is only making things difficult in ever tense Middle East.

That “illegal” militia has the support of its people; even their political rivals are encouraging them to resist Israel.

More Israeli soldiers killed or injured today.

** Soldier Killed in Southern Lebanon, 16 Wounded **

An IDF soldier was killed and 16 were injured on Thursday in clashes with Hizbullah terrorists in southern Lebanon. Staff Sergeant Kobi Idan, 26, of Eilat fell in battle when an advanced anti-tank missile hit the Merkava-3 tank in which he was riding. Idan and another soldier had arrived a few days earlier with the 434 Brigade and were operating near the southeastern Lebanese village of al-Khiam when they were attacked. The other 15 wounded soldiers were operating above the Litani River in the eastern sector on Lebanon, in a village near the Hizbullah stronghold of Marjayoun, where heavy fighting continued throughout the day. On Wednesday, 15 soldiers, all reservists, were killed and 34 soldiers were wounded in separate battles across southern Lebanon.

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

no, thats how arab countries react

remember when syria massacared 20,000 people in al hama in 1982

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

The Israeli’s killed over 20,000 Lebanese people when they invaded in the early 1980’s but they still that war. They are losing this one even more badly.

Re: 15 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah today in fierce clashes

no they won the war, they expelled the Fatah and PLO from beirut but they made a mistake by staying in southern lebanon which fuelled hezbollah

and this war is aimed to crush hezbollah so that international forces can come in

in my opinion, this is hezbollah's last hurrah

i doubt hezbollah will mount anything on this scale again and there is no way that hezbollah will remain in its current form

it will be either be absorbed into the lebanese army or completely disarmed

israel maybe taking a lot of casualties but just like the PLO went from being a terrorist force in 1982 to a political party representing the palestinian people

same goes for hezbollah
