What a great leader

Re: 14 people die of shock after Rajsekhar reddy's (India AP CM) death

He was well liked by the masses, and they are obviously pretty distraught. Plus in the south there is a culture of personality worship e.g. Rajanikanth, Chiranjeevi, Khushboo etc.

But the ministers resigning is sheer stupidity. They are ministers in a democratically elected govt answerable to the people; they are not in some king's court where their loyalty lies only with the king. If they resign, they should never be elected to public office again.

Suicides??
What a great leader. What foolish people

Ministers are resigning??
What a great leader. What a bunch of crooks

your knowledge of south is only upto papers

Chiranjeevi lost elections even in his own town, his party won a mere 18 seats, and his caste is strong in 70 seats

when Rajanikanth requested to vote for jaya lalitha, Jaya lalitha didn't get a single seat

those people are resigning from politics means they will never contest again

Re: 14 people die of shock after Rajsekhar reddy’s (India AP CM) death

I was not talking about politics specifically, my comment was about the general culture of personality worship e.g. fans commiting suicides, building temples etc. :hehe:

And no, the knowledge is not just from papers

Re: 14 people die of shock after Rajsekhar reddy's (India AP CM) death

He certainly was a canny politician and knew how to bring in jobs for his electorate. One of my uncles works in a major multinational corporation that outsourced work to Hyderabad. He was part of the team that went to investigate if it would be a good location to do business in.

Reddy went to the airport himself to meet the 3 executives from the multinational company, gave them red carpet treatment as though they were ambassadors, and toured around the potential bidders for the work with them over the next 2 days. By the time they left they were certain they would get full support from the local government for their business and ended up giving the contract to a firm there.

My uncle later spoke to 2 other executives from the same company who had gone to Pakistan around the same time to look at outsourcing similar work to there. There was no-one from government to meet them at the airport, the minister they were supposed to meet with the next morning didn't show up and instead sent an aide who showed up late, and they received several other snubs that left them feeling local government would not be that supportive, so they left early.

i cam from same district , its very dry area with less rainfall, but rich in minerals, but the literacy rate is 80%, iwe already have 3 cement factories, and a thermal plant and in his 5 yr rule we got another 2 cement factory, 1 steel plant, 1 adidas shoe factory, and nuclear plant and university and many colleges, the land value rise form 1lakh/acre to 1 crore,

What about allegations that he and his son are close to Bellary's mining mafia? They say the reddy brothers are exporting even the top soil rich in minerals to china leaving the land barren.

They are FALSE allegations

The money is in hundred and thousands of crores. Every party is busy getting its beak wet. So i suppose they will remain as allegations. The non renewable resource is being converted into dollars in swiss bank accounts of a few politicians while the people of the country get peanuts and non cultivable land
