14 die in Bari Imam shrine suicide blast
ISLAMABAD: Fourteen people have been killed and several people injured in a blast occurred within the compound of Bari Imam shrine here.
Number of people were gathered as religious congregation underwent when the incident happened. Injured were shifted to local hospitals.
According to Geo correspondent, nine dead bodies were reached to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences.
Federal Information Minister Shaikh Rashid Ahmed strongly condemned this terror act and confirmed the killing of 12 to 14 people.
Rashid said that there was a dispute between the two groups regarding shrine.
Rescue operations underway at the blast site. Ambulances and fire fighters reached the scene. Rescue agencies tried to bring the situation under control.
Grim reactions showed by the people present at the scene. Stone throwing incident on police occurred. Police did baton charge to disperse the crowd.
According to some reports, the blast was a suicide attack, killed at least eighteen people and injured 50.
State of emergency has been imposed in the local hospitals. Police and security sources cordoned off the site of the incident.

No I do not. As a matter of fact none of us know who is behind the attacks....we are not there to make a judgement like that. You can blame sunnis if you want, the fact remains that most sunnis and yes even Wahabis are peaceloving people who want to live their lives. Are there some factions within those sects who try to hijack their faith and committ crime in their (Sunnis and Wahabis) name? Yes...that does not make all sunnis and wahabis criminals/terrorists.
Thap opened a thread Terrorisim and christianity some time ago...the reason for that thread was lost on so many here...he just wanted to show the populace that sterotyping and exaggeration can be done against any religion. One has to be careful before throwing words like wahabi terrorist, sunni mullah killers etc etc.
Right, not all Sunnis are hell bent on murdering others, if they were, America would be a radioactive wasteland by now, but looking at the recent events in Pakistan, this type of attack definitely has the signs of some Jihadi group supposedly doing God's work by carrying out this attack.
1st of all this was a salana urs of hazrat bari imam sahab which normally attracts 1000’s of ppl not just from azad kashmir and pakistan but their followers even come from abroad. + both sunnis’ and shias’ were present @ the shrine when the blast took place, so now both sides can blame each other until solid proof comes to light.

1} YES it is a sufi shrine.
2} Hazrat shah abdul latif kazmi :ra:] are better known as hazrat ‘bari imam’ :ra:]. some ppl also call them hazrat bari sarkar. they r off the time of mughal emperor aurangzaib who after haz. bari imam’s death built the original shrine which has now been renovated.
To cut it short, hazrat bari imam sahab emigrated to noorpur shah village during the 17th century and spread the teachings of islam to the residents their. they were said to be a very fair decision maker or something on the same lines. now look @ allah’s shaan, after their death, ppl come to their darbar in their 1000’s to seek their blessings.
