The purpose to create Pakistan was to provide a homeland to Muslims of Sub-Continent where they can practice their religion with freedom, where they can live with peace and where they can prosper and develop.
Unfortunately, most of the above was not achieved or work done in that regard was to little to be acknowledge, and for this, both the leadership and the crowd of Pakistan was responsible for it. This irresponsible attitude produced and promoted personalities like we have in power corridors and is one of the major reason of the unrest and killing and our sorry-state-of-life in Pakistan.
Now after 64 years of hardships, slowly the crowd of Pakistan is changing into a nation, although the process is slow but it is there, once crowd is now turning in to an organized nation, yes many may disagree but the people of Pakistan have now started their journey on the road of independence. The dream which our fore-fathers saw in 100 years ago. One may disagree to the notion of transformation because the process is slow but i would insist that it is the transformation which make a silly person like Nawaz Sharif talk some sense, which make ethnic-based leader like Altaf Hussain to spread his political base. Where the country-men are looking forward to positive change, yes all these are indicators that once known as mere crowd of millions is transforming into nation.
There is lots of work to be done, infact work has just started, we need to further develop ourselves to think in long term mode, the anarchy through out the world has told us that in future out wealth and children are not safe as it was considered, it is not only Pakistan who is suffering but it is only Pakistani people who are going to end this age of chaos and killings.
We need to gear up our resources to force the leadership to take our interest in account, we need to tell them using whatever platform available that we are not going to sit back and watch you compromise on our interest, lets learn not to be divided on any basis, lets not religious believe, ethnicity and party loyalty takes out our commitment to the country, lets have our loyalty to the issues and not on personalities, lets vote and promote those who have better agenda of development and not those who haven’t got any agenda and are their because of party loyalty.
The transformation is there, we can speed it up and can make this country a better place to live, it is we who should be driving the leadership’s view and agenda and not the other way around. If we can do it, then our coming generations can live in peace and harmony. And where our generations can prosper but if we don’t expedite the process and if we don’t force the leaders to give up their policies of divide and rule, then be ready to have funerals of our children and in that case, we have no right to blame anyone but ourselves.
Lets make this commitment this year and lets work for it, that we will play our role in making Pakistan a better place to live and we will not allow anyone turning it into a graveyard, the only graveyard we would have will be of the differences and injustice.
