Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA and WPA2) is a class of systems to secure wireless (Wi-Fi) computer networks. It was created in response to several serious weaknesses researchers had found in the previous system, Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP).](Wi-Fi Protected Access - Wikipedia)
Ok, so tried the first one and got 1 handshake (it took a few hours). But as the passphrase wasn't a dictionary one it didn't work like they said, so I'm bruting it right now. Pretty cool how it worked tho.
Not really, as you can easily clone MACs and now can crack WPA or WEP. The best thing to do I guess is use VPN, which maybe a little painful but secure.
Once u run kismet getting the right IP and getting MAC addresses are child's play, that leaves WPA/WEP and u just need the right dictionary file. I've actually been looking for a punjabi and sindhi file if anyone's got it please let me know :D
I actually heard that Ranchor Lane and Kharadar area's are pretty hot with wifi. Next time there i'm renting a tinted car and get some pan and head in that direction.
Everytime, I am there, I have to visit Kharader and Mithader. My childhood memories are associated with that area.
As for the wifi connection there, I bet no one uses their own. You won't have to crack no WPA there cuz nobody prolly knows about it. There ain't no memon dictionary files anyway.
