I contacted both organizations
Islamic Relief keeps about 6% to run the program
HCI doesnt keep anything and it comes out to about US$26.60.
I am leaning more towards HCI now, but let me know what you guys think.

Try muslim hands. i’ve sponsored through them before and have nothing but praise for their organisation.

oh my family is already sponsoring three orphans for this year.. their should be an adoption program.. my parents are interested in that ...if anyone has any idea please PM me on it.

Yes, we (our MSA) have sponsored children through HCI. They are very reliable and have offices in many big cities including Toronto and Montreal.

I have received all the payments and everyone should be getting a detailed email soon inshAllah. Hopefully, I wont be bugging you guys again after this until next year inshAllah.
I just wanted to mention that GS def has some extraordinary people. We did this with our friends and family too and these are people we see on a regular basis and most of them havent paid yet when they pledged a long time ago. Whereas, on GS almost everyone paid within a few days of pledging and they didnt mind my harassing PMs :D

I have sent out PMs to everyone that contributed last year. If you haven't received it, please let me know. Basically its a request to donate again and about other projects going on.

I need to edit my initial post, it should be $30 (CAD) not $33. And i would like to mention other projects too, in case someones interested.
