11-year gap for marriage?

Re: 11-year gap for marriage?

^ lol... You don't agree with me? Aww!

I have seen successful marriage with 18 years difference 38/20. Kids, good house, birthdays, etc.

Another person from New York I know married at the age of 50 plus to this Russian woman of 18 and they have a six year old daughter. He takes his daughter to Ballet dancing and loves it.

This age thing is over-rated.

Gr. duno what happened there.

I jsut said its pretty sick to come to a 15 year old for marriage. and some other stuff. forgot now :bummer:

Re: 11-year gap for marriage?

I will like to marry a mature person. I do not mind 6-8 yrs difference. More than that i will only accept if either I am in love with the guy or he has something really special about him.

11 yrs is not a big diff, i guess.

Re: 11-year gap for marriage?

Maximum should be 5 :)

Re: 11-year gap for marriage?

If it is a love marraige, then maybe it is fine..but definitely for an arranged marriage it is too much of a gap. Aside from the points mentioned, think about health issues in the long run. If they have kids, the chances are higher of having a widowed mother earlier in life...dunno I personally wouldn't go for it. Unless she is desperate & unable to find a better rishta.

Re: 11-year gap for marriage?

Age isn't important as long as there's a connection.

agreed!

Re: 11-year gap for marriage?

Thanks for all the replies, imo 11yrs would have been a bit too much esp as it was completely arranged, anyway the situation kinda resolved itself when the girl in question found out the guy has an unresolved drink problem, lucky she found this stuff out now and not after marriage so the search continues..
