Just one thing, if you were unable to find a perfect girl for yourself in 25/26 yrs of ur life, what makes you believe that you will be able to find it in next 5 yrs..?

just this point.men r not limited by age.u barely started being a man.although a good age to get married remember ur not limited agewise so dont think ur NOT gonna find one.

besides there is no perfection.after the need gets stronger,a few heartbreak evryone learns to compromise.

If ur parents are presenting u for lots of different girls then how cool is that. Check them out and talk with them and if there are sparks then go for it man.

I'm actually going through 100% full toss pressure. However, it's not so bad at the moment, but it does get bad at times.

I had someone in mind, but things don't seem to be working out. Arranged marriage sounds fine; however, it's hard to find someone with similar religious beliefs or someone who would accept my beliefs.

Aside from that, given the exposure I've had to males on GS has scared me to an extent. I often end up wondering if the person I'm introduced to would turn out like someone on GS.

All men are the same to some extent but there are good guys out there so please don’t lose hope and don’t think all of them will turn out to be testosterone filled GS guys.

Sadiyah.....me n my husband don't have exactly similar opinions when it comes to religion or any other thing mostly.....but the secret lies in being flexible n giving others some space to practice what he'she believes.....and don't be scared....Alhamdulillah, there are many many good people around n Allah miaN will make things work for you, InshaAllah. Plus no matter how much you investigate about someone ...ppl are bound to change with time/age......who knows if your prayers change someone for good ......InshaAllah....so have faith! :)

As for furqan's issue...I agree with Mehnaz.

I dont think u can have that luxury when u have kids.. differences in what u believe n r bound to cme up, and esp when it comes to Islam, a lot of ppl believe that what htey believe in on mnay subjects is correct and the contrary is wrong.. Not talkin about big things like faith in Allah, the prophets, birth/death, prayer, fasting etc but day-to-day things like.. what to eat/to feed ur kids (if one believes eating out is okay, n the other doesnt), what to wear, if u dont believe in hijab n he does (n vice versa) etc etc

Afia, would you mind giving any more detail (I’m curious) ? Is it that you’re more religiously conservative than your husband (or vice versa), or is it simply that you are your husband follow different fiqhs, scholars, or interpretations of Islam?

......pressure on my head to get "ARRANGED" married. Sh*t ..i mean growing up in canada, I never expected this but its coming my way very fast. What to do? Where 2 run? What da hell happend to the dreams of me bumping into and falling in love with that perfect pakistani girl?

Should i just let it be or run away from this situation and keep living in the life that I life? How has marriage changed your life? Has anyone been in a situation like this where they didn't expect arranged marriage but it just happened!?

^I found myself in a similar situation a few years ago,my family tried to pressure me to get married when I did'nt want to...I had the same dream of bumping into and falling in love with someone, not necessarily a Pakistani girl,but that did'nt happen and was not gonna happen because I am in Pakistan...in the end I am happy that I did'nt get married because I did'nt want my culture and religion to decide for me who I should love..the only regret I have is that I got stuck in Pakistan where everything revolves around religion and women are too uptight to have a relationship.

Actually I decided to get married after seeing GS guys. They are sooooooo unpredictable and challenging. One minute they say they are in love with you and second the leave you LOL,…its for our own benefit, shaping us for worst situations. In real life I ALWAYS met GOOD guys and now after being on GS I met the guys that I never imagined I would and I kind a like it. Its like a exposure to both sides and now actually it made me realize what I really want instead of what I always wanted.
