I did not contradict myself. I refuted your point where you tried to connect lack of intermingling as one factor leading to these crimes.

Rapists do get away everywhere it occurs and no, severe punishments are not common for rapists even outside SE Asia. Unfortunately.

More or less, the stigma of being raped is also everywhere. Poor victims do suffer from guilt as well.

Like others, I have already mentioned honor killing is not religion based. Never was. It is not the misuse of religion either.
This practice is purely cultural.

The video person says religion is force of evil. These people are simply ‘jaahil’ and biased. lol

so rapists are treated the same way in the west as they are in s.asia?? hardly anyone is ever convicted in pakistan for rape. thats not the case here. sometimes it can be hard to prove a rape, but once proven, the rapist is jailed for many years, even life and are registered sex offenders. its amazing how you can make such ridiculous comparison. justice system here cannnot even be compared to what goes in pakistna. sure its not perfect, no where is. but its 100 times better than s.asia
secondly the stigma of rape is FAR less here. there is no issue of ‘honor’. what world do you live in?? rape victims here get sympathy, counseling and can lead normal lives. ever heard of families KILLING their daughter or sister for rape? those girls even get into healthy relationships later on and find guys who will even marry them, very unlike what happens in s.asia where they will be isolated from society if they are not killed. stigma of rape is far far worse in those countries as compared to the ‘west’.
as far as religion being the cause of this, religious people will use religion in whatever way they can to find excuses for crimes.
