While talking about Pakistan, my boss once said: “Sal, I like Middle Eastern food a lot.”
I replied, but Pakistan is not in the Middle East. It is in South Asia.
He said, yeah yeah, I know.

I think Westerners use ‘Middle East’ as a politically correct way of saying ‘Muslim’.

I didn’t know ‘Muslim’ was considered derogatory or needed a politically correct term, Salman.
