The armoured limosine manufacturers of the world only produce luxury car conversions.
I think that out Mujahideen brothers in Iraq have adequately proven why Hummers would not be a good idea … they are not as well armoured as modern armoured limos are.

This is known as SOP: Standard Operation Procedure in Executive protection, multiple targets of the same colour, shape etc confuse the attacker and this allows the proection officers to rotate the use of vehicles, so that just incase they feel the on monday the car would be sabotaged or just out of caution they would use another, the standard size of a executive escort includes 5/6 S500’s/s600 (Armoured with/without a cellular jammer and vox radio.) This is supported by the military or special services and logistic and ground support is provided by the provincial or state police.
One this dose concern me, considering how Pakistan has seen uneven development and residential areas are soo close to commerical and government buildings, the size and diversity of people you have to control is just humoungous. Afterall they are roughly 550,000 people living in islamabad (2001) stats.
So if 77% of Islamabad goto work in the morning and mushy leaves his compound in Rawalpindi for Islamabad via (Rawal Road) at around 7:30 am, he would be traveling alongsides 412,000 Islamabad Citizens and countless other Rawalpindi Citizens, all of whome could be suspects!
Have you ever seen the protection accorded to Mr Bush? Then again some might say, Mushy is not bush! True, but mushy is President of Pakistana and has been attacked several times before. Whether you like it or not People like Musharaff and Aziz are precious to Pakistan, a bit like expensive tools, if you loose them you cant do your work properly.
However, is exposing your expenisve cargo to such threats would be a silly tactic to say the least, yet what can one do? There were talks to close the road leading from Gulistan Colony to Murree Brewery across Military House, but mushy upset gandahara who said that if any of his trucks were hi-jacked or damaged using the G.T. Road, Mushy would be liable. So what is one to do? He has closed the post office and bank next to presidents camp and moved them nearer to the employees residence, but dose this tactic provde security or build further resenment against the governing in the public?
The answer to these and many other questions are far beyond my current research and the scope to great for such an informal discussion, in conclusion, all i can say it it is necessary and shows that atleast without just looking at the expense related which may seem to some as overtly elaborate, if this expense and method highlights to the people in power the true nature of Pakistan’s security situation and may address it, so be it! “Afterall life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get”!!!- (Forest Gumph!)(C), all you can do is be prepared and able to cope with any hindrance that you may come across.

I never said security of PM or president of Pakistan is not paramount. Pakistan always had such measures in place, its not a nascent state and its not Afghanistan where they have to develop everything from scratch.
certainly there are other cars already present , the only thing concerns me that these are just being imported to please so called ministers VIP janta! not for PM or president.
