10 more arrested for links with police academy attack

Looks like our little afghan scumbag has been singing like a bird. Hopefully this will start a chain of ebents leading up to finding Baitullah and sticking a missile into him.

LAHORE: Security agencies on Wednesday arrested 10 more suspects of Monday’s terror attack on a police training academy in Manawan, Lahore.

The suspects were arrested from various areas of Lahore in police raids that continued throughout the day. Sources said the raids had been conducted on the basis of information provided by Hijratullah, the alleged Afghan terrorist captured during the attack on the police training school. The suspects were arrested from Ghaziabad, Bhaati Gate, Bund Road, Harbanspura, Nishtar Colony and Data Darbar areas of Lahore, they said.

Recoveries: The sources said the police also recovered suicide jackets, explosives, ammunition, satellite phones, and counterfeit national identity cards from the arrested men. The sources claimed two of the arrested men had links with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan chief Baitullah Mehsud.

The latest arrests follow Tuesday’s arrest of around 50 suspects based on disclosures by the Afghan gunman and other suspects arrested after Monday’s siege of the police academy in Manawan.

The suspects arrested from various parts of the provincial capital are being interrogated.

Baitullah Mehsud had on Tuesday claimed responsibility for the attack on the police training academy and suicide attacks in Islamabad and Bannu, and had warned of further attacks in Pakistan in the coming days and later in the United States. “These (attacks) were in reaction to (US) drone strikes in the Tribal Areas,” Mehsud had told BBC Urdu over the telephone from an undisclosed location.

“Over the next few days, more such attacks will come … two or three suicide attacks will take place,” he had warned.

I hope that the attack on police academy is the last straw that wakes up Punjab police. One thing is for sure, that Punjab police has been known for their toughness for the last 200 years. No wonder British-Indian government used to deploy them all over over the colonies.

Re: 10 more arrested for links with police academy attack

why is the guy being called afghan? isnt he with the TTP, where P is Pakistan?

The guy is Afghani, probably TTP "volunteer" from Afghan side.

Re: 10 more arrested for links with police academy attack

how do you know this, ehtasab? is it anything more than hearsay?

The caught is Afghani, Baitullah claimed responsibility of attack... is that hearsay?

Re: 10 more arrested for links with police academy attack

I don't know the credibility of Mr. Hijratulllah but why is everyone quick to point fingers at poor Afghans- they are our brothers and our doors, cities, pinds, and borders are always open to them- they are "A" in PAK.

The Afghans from Afghanistan are not Pakistanis & they should all be deported back to their country. I'm for mass deportation of Afghans & that will take care of half of our problems. These people have over stayed theri welcome & its time for them to go home & take their tribal warfare with them to their country.

I wish it was like that, i always considered them as our brothers.
Recently i went to an Afghan resturant here, there were flags of all countries but Pakistan was missing so my friend asked why wasn't Pakistan flag there (most non Afghan customers are Pakistanis). He said " no Afghans customers will come if we put Pakistani flag"
I lost all the respect for Afghan people since that day.( not that it's a huge issue but just the way I feel).

Re: 10 more arrested for links with police academy attack

Apparetnly a guy was taken away from an international flight from Lahore airport yesterday as well. In Sukkhar two guys were arrested as well after police surrounded the entire neighbourhood.

Why are we catching innocent people, wasn't this whole attack a drama by Pakistan government and ISI???

Please enlighten us further

Our Indian friends will do that for sure.

Think this guy and most of his afghan customers were on RAW payroll .....:)

Guys, don't take sandhu786 seriously, he is looking to be clown of the forum.

I had a completely different experience. I met two students who hailed from Afghanistan studying in UK and they told me after being taken as refugees, Pakistan took good care of them and Pakistan should work harder to make Afghanistan a more livable country so that more Pakistanis have a good opinion of Afghanistan.
