10 best of RD

I am going to write a 10 best kinda series. Please do not treat it as India vs. Pak contest. Otherwise we have seen Antakhari being closed due to flame bait and a thread on Paki songs also closed due to lack of response. So those who do not like Hindi film music can ignore it

1. Jane kaise kab aur kahan iqarar ho gaya.. (shakti)

2. Beeti na beetaye raina (Parichay)

3. Huzoor is qadar bhi na itarake chaliye (massom)

4. Monica.. Oh my darling (Caravan .. if nothing else.. for its historical significance.)

5. Tum aa gaye ho noor aa gaya hain (Aaandhi, Gulzar and RD really went well together)

6. Jai jai shiv shankar (aap ki kasam)

7. Bade acche lagate hain (balika badhu)

8. Tumne mujhe dekha, ho kar meharabaan (Teesri Manzil)

9. Hame tum se pyar kitna (kudarat)

10. Ek ladki ko dekha to aisa laga (1942 a love story)

Just the ones at the top of the mind. I am sure u can make another collection which is equally good or perhaps better.

In any case ‘Teesari Manzil’, ‘Caravan’, ‘Aandhi’, "mausam’, ‘kinara’ , ‘Yadon ki baraat’, ‘1942- a love story’, ‘Padosan’, ‘Amar Prem’, ‘zamane ko dikhana hain’ and so on are a must in anyone’s collection.

10 is an arbitrary number and does not do justice with the quality and quantity in which RD produced (Far easier would be top 10 of Bappi Lahiri. You could write one or two and stop there). I have tried to get the variety while selecting. But of course, many good ones are left out.
