Ok so my baby just turned 1 so v shifted her from formula to cow’s milk which allhumdullah she is drinking without any problem
the only problem is she is avoiding other solids she was not a picky eater from day 1 but now she just refuse to eat anything solid she still takes 1 fruit purée daily n cereal she not want anything new in her diet as these 2 r forcibly given by me I have 2 shut down tv n make her sit in high chair she cries 4 a while but open her mouths allhumdullah never spits or vomit but I don’t like forcing her she was always so good in eating 1 thing I notice is tht she asks for milk whenever she is hungry she is taking almost 3 feeders of 8 ounces in 24 hrs she is taking 1 extra feeder she should stick. To 2 feeders thts y she remains full n avoid solids
how to cut her extra milk so tht she eats properly???
Allhumdullah rest she is healthy tall n very active already walking n calling me by my name but I m really concerned about her food
wht else should I introduce her I gave her egg but she didn’t liked it she ate it but wth very bad face sometimes she used 2 have nuggets but now nothing whatever I gave her forcefully I don’t want 2 force her
If you want to reduce her milk, why not put 6 ozs instead of 8 in her bottle. It will cut down 6-8 ozs/day,depending on how many bottles she takes.Offer her something to eat first and then the milk.
Try to avoid force feeding her. They refuse it even more.My daughter gave me a tough time when it came to eating and meal times when she was a lil more than a year old(I would say between the ages of 15-18 months). Now at 22 months of age she is getting a lot better (Alhumdullilah) and asks for food herself. So at 1 year of age it can be more like a phase they are going through.
My daughter actually hated the high chair.I have pictures of her in the high chair where she is so mad and grumpy that is actually funny..!
It might not be the best suggestion but maybe try changing her eating place.Place her in a booster seat or a sofa maybe. If she does not likes one food item one day, give a break maybe and then try after a few days.I am again not sure how right that is but it worked for me.
Also remember she is just a year old and will need very tiny portions. Why not spread them over the day...like 3 meals and 2 snacks ...
At 1 year of age mine was eating almost everything we ate.Rice, meats, veggies (most of them)...so I guess you can give her anything you make for yourself ...just be careful with the spice factor.
*Offer food first, get her to eat, then top off with milk.
*Keep offering things. It takes them a while to get used to it.
*Use new things to interest her while you are feeding her. Don't talk about the food and what she has to eat. Do other stuff, coloring, tv, etc.
*Eat while she eats.
Thnkx guys for replying so today I cut her 1 feeder n the other one 7 ounces instead of 8 she ate everything allhumdullah I have 2 keep an eye on her milk intake :)
