1 day to Oscars...

The deciding members of the Academy are seated around a large table. They are working on the final details for the Oscar show.

Man #1: It looks like Russell Crowe is going to be our best actor again.

Man #2: Jesus. Do you know that means? Another year of hearing Denzel and his followers bitching. I mean, Crowe deserves the award because he’s clearly the better actor and gave the better performance, but I don’t know if I can put up with another year of Denzel’s bitching about being denied because he was black.

Man #1: What do you think we should do?

Man #2: I guess we’ll have to give the award to Denzel. It’ll keep him and his cronies off our backs for awhile, and it will be worth it. I’m tired of getting messages from Jesse Jackson and members of the NAACP about our awards show.

Man #1: As much as I hate to say this, I think it’s our only solution.

Man #3: I too am tired of this nonsense. Hell, we can also give Halle Berry the award for best actress and try to keep them off our backs for a longer period of time.

Man #2: That could work.

Man #1: We are too damned liberal.

Man #3: I miss the days when we could actually give people awards for their talent. Now it’s turning into a political circus.

Man #1: And it will only get worse–the liberals are taking over and it will soon be a crime for a white person to be recognized for anything.

Man #2: It’s a shame that we have to stoop so low, but I don’t see any way out of it.

Man #1: Nor do I. This country and this culture is an accident waiting to happen. We are overrun by this politically correct garbage and if we want to keep our jobs, we have to fall victim to it.

Man #2 scribbles out Russell Crowe and Sissy Spacek’s name from the winner’s list and writes Denzel Washington and Halle Berry. The men get up and leave, and sigh deeply; for they know it is only a matter of time before the world falls victim to all forms of politically correct drivel.
