I have way too many favorites to mention. I grew up on 80’s metal, listening to and going to see live bands such as Venom, Slayer, Mercyful Fate, Testament, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, among the ones mentioned above. I branched off into other forms of music in the early 90’s. I heavily got into blues, Jazz, and classical music. I never was into the grunge phase. The past 10 years, I’ve been heavily into European power metal.

I’d say metal is my favorite form of music. I have hundreds of vinyl records from the 80’s, and hundreds of CD’s and tapes, so I wouldn’t know where to begin listing favorite songs.

But here are one of my favorite metal bands from the 80’s, as well as one of my favorite songs of that era (video is cool also)… Savatage - Hall of the Mountain King
