can u prove that 1=2 (did somebody say maths Arrrgghhh…I hate maths)

hate to take the fun out of this one... but i saw this somewhere, the equation is flawed and was probably done by someone who flunked algebra in grade 6.
I hope 1 is not equal to 2, otherwise I would have to read this stupid equation and theory again.

so,
1.2=2.3-1.1---------F
therfore,
If we multiply, Equation A to F,
we will get;
1=1.9+0.1
According to the Unlaw of Pythagorus,
LHS=RHS
and
RHS=LHS
so,
1=2

Hmmm this looks like a job for me. I have been confusing my University professors for the past three months with an equation this equation. I made it up when I was in high school.
consider this :
x=1, y=1 and z=2
now x-y=0 for sure
also
z(x-y)=0....equation 1
and
y(x-y)=0....equation 2
Since euqation 1 and 2 are equal, so on equating them,we get
z(x-y)=y(x-y)
Divide both sides by (x-y) and u get
z=y which means
2=1
Now how was that ? confused ?? i'll give u a hint, there is an illegal action here try and find that out!
abay you did not make it up. I have seen this same crap many times and a long time ago. Only algebra illetrates can not figure out the street corner trick here.
