since we're talking desi food around Hamilton, try out Himalaya - kinda 20 minute drive from downtown Hamilton but worth the visit. Try their Chaat Paapri and Chana Bhatura.
Hey K_A, I used to live on James/Wilson(York) across from the Hamilton City Center/Jackson Mall... aah man... memories. There used to be a Halal Shawarma/Sandwich place right on the corner of James/Wilson... dunno if it's still there. I used to live on that stuff.

and dont recommend himalya :S himalya is only veggie restaurant, and pakistanis are born to eat meat (H)
