Re: Zardari tortured, paraded half naked bloody on streets and shot dead
I am so disappointed to read some of the comments here. It seems some of us lack basic humanity, commonsense, decency and sharam
I can/will never approve of such treatment against anyone incl. Ayub, Yahya, Zia and Musharraf let alone Zardari who is elected. I do not support Zardari (neither hate him) but it is a matter of principle, of humanity, for me. Some things are just not done.
Whether it is an elected or military leader, mob justice can never be condoned. No one should be allowed to take the law into their own hands. They did manage to capture Gaddafi alive, did n’t they, so they should have put him on trial and served justice to him that way, simple.
The West would say they did allow Saddam to be tried by his own people. But the way it was done by the Iraqi authorities, ‘hanging him on Eid day’ and esp. the way prison officers and government agents were hurling abuses at Saddam just as he was about to be hanged was absolutely unnecessary, disgusting and pathetic
No offence to anyone but as I have been watching the events unfold in Egypt, Syria and Libya these past 8-10 months, I have little doubt in my mind that Arabs are THE most stupid and uncivilised people on the planet.
And as I said else-where
