Re: Zardari or Musharraf? now what do you say?
hmmmm, there was a reason Pres. Musharraf ended his speech with these words:
"Pakistan ka Allah hafiz"
Our great nation will see. Though, I don't wish any ill on my Pakistani nation who is already suffering from a lot of real issues, but since majority of them voted for the lawbreakers, criminals and crooks, they must now reap what they have sown. I just know in my heart Pakistan deserves someone much much better than Zardari and likes.
Re: Zardari or Musharraf? now what do you say?
And so this nation called Pak meanders from being commanded by the corrupt (NS) to the dictator (PM) to the looter (AZ). Wonder what the next deadly sin will be of whover follows AZ.
Re: Zardari or Musharraf? now what do you say?
Tariq Bhai, ap bilawajah pareshan ho rahay hain, In Pakistan the prime Minister runs the show, and our Prime Minister is Janab Yusuf Raza Gilani aka Mr Happy Hands.
Brother it is obvious that you are not nominating anyone, neither anyone expect that you would nominate :). Nevertheless, you did say that you support Zardari against someone how good he may be, just because of the person background (army).
First of all, I do not worship anyone, so your assumption about me is horrendous and fabricated.
As for MQM nominating Zardari, that is political move. It is possible that one may have to sleep with enemy under compulsion or circumstances, but supporting is volunteer action and one should never support those who do not have anything a person likes or value. Actually, the day MQM would start supporting PPP (without compulsion or circumstances) than there would be no point for MQM existing as separate party, rather they should join PPP. On the other hand, MQM and PPP are both major parties of Sindh, so they have to live together and they having good relation would bring prosperity and development to Sindh, else conflicts between them could harm Sindh, so it is for mutual benefit that they cooperate with each other (for the sake of Sindh).
I am not playing with words. It is fact that laws follow power and not other way round. If someone took over the government by force than that person becomes Law (that is why when army takes over a country, country gets martial law and many civilian laws get suspended).
Well, you are right that we see according to our own perception and understanding. I am not exceptional, you and everyone is same in this respect.
Re: Zardari or Musharraf? now what do you say?
back on topic, I just posted the news about zardari being diagnosed with dementia and self-confessed suicidal tendencies. Is this the kind of person to replace Musharraf? why are people hell bent on sending Pakistan to destruction like this
Re: Zardari or Musharraf? now what do you say?
^ Replacement of Musharraf? Are you suggesting we stick to the illegal presidential form of Govt he was running? We need to undo that brother, buhat waqat guzar gya. Even if we appoint "Barney the bear as our president", provided his powers are taken away, it wouldnt be a matter of such importance. Question is, will these illegal amendments to the constituition go away or not?
Re: Zardari or Musharraf? now what do you say?
question is can u trust asif, and will he give up power once he gets it. not that he does not have power now indirectly
Re: Zardari or Musharraf? now what do you say?
^ Well, we have no choice, and since he was NOT the one who introduced these illegal measures, we cant hold him to his collar to get rid of them.
i) Does he really need 58-2B to remove his own guy (whom you referred to as a loyal puppet) or his own puppet?
Re: Zardari or Musharraf? now what do you say?
the question is not whether he needs to remove his own puppet, but things in pakistan are never stable, he has to watch out for himself.
and why will we not hold him accountable for getting rid of these measures?
its like when u get a new CEO in a company, do we not hold him accountable for getting rid of the bad policies of the prior CEO?

lol but if he has any issues with gilani, he need not send the entire assembly packing! Remember Jamali? Its pretty easy to change the PMs in a parliamentary system, as long as Zardari has the support of his party, and the party agrees with him on gilani's removal. If he doesnt, even with 58-2b hes a sitting duck. So hence, zardari ko remove karney me koi masla nahee hona chayeh extra baggage that mushy introduced.

key words, as long as he has support of the party.
Re: Zardari or Musharraf? now what do you say?
Musharaff is a lot better than zardari. ppp only sipports zardari cuz of benazir this is the only reson for support.
Re: Zardari or Musharraf? now what do you say?
^ yes. people of Pakistan are just stupid morons if they make zardari or sharif pm or president. I will give that in writing!
Re: Zardari or Musharraf? now what do you say?
I dont know whats going to happen. I wish that some miracle would happen and Mushaid Hussain becomes the president. He is better than zardari too. Musharaf has this 2 year restriction that he cant come back.Better mushaid hassain than zardari.
key words, as long as he has support of the party.
Yep, we'll see when the PPP turns against Zardari, we waited what, 25 years, another 5 wont hurt :)

true, it was a hypothetical example.
There is really no precedence in PPP history for it to move beyond being a family business. :)
Re: Zardari or Musharraf? now what do you say?
^ I agree, but then again, uptil Benazir, I'd say it had every reason to be a family business, but sadly, after her death, there is none, even if that fatima or sasupanni takes over.
Re: Zardari or Musharraf? now what do you say?
looking at news coming about zardari's mental state and knowing his past, we have to take a fresh look at musharaf if noone else emerges.
what exactly are the complaints? (other than his usrurpation of power in a coup which was accepted by people of Pakisyan a long time ago)
