Zardari donates all body organs

Re: Zardari donates all body organs

The sooner he has the opportunity to donate them, the better for the nation...

Re: Zardari donates all body organs

one third class, juvenile comment after the other. can't even appreciate someone's good deed. criticize Zardari for his bad steps. but at least don't dump on him if he does something good. how many of you are planning to donate your organs?

the thing that really surprises me that I'm positive there are people in this thread who probably can;t even speak or read Urdu fluently as I am sure is the case with many members of GS. people who if you asked to name the top leadership of PPP and PML-N wouldn't be able to give you any names apart from Nawaz Sharif and Zardari. people who've probably never even lived in the country. yet even they have so much hatred for Zardari - mostly based on the magnificent PR demolition job that our Pak fauj kay jarnail did on him.

pathetic!

May be you can highlight great deeds of your supreme leader Zardari before taking over Presidency instead of taking pot-shot at guppies, I am sure Zardari can also read/write English/Urdu as well as Sindhi, someone said he has a PhD degree.

Re: Zardari donates all body organs

samb- yes, you are right that at least he is doing something good. I just hope that the organ donation (very important) is being publicized so that others will also consider doing good deeds and not with the intention to divert everyone's attention from his political and criminal activities. People are going through agony right now with the 18 hr load-shading, bomb blasts, etc. They want solutions from the government and want leaders who will bring change. While organ donation is something, it's not the solution to the extreme load-shading.

can't you come up with something more witty than calling me a jiyala? I don't blindly support or hate anyone. I was against Zardari and PPP when he wouldn't restore the judges. but I support him, Sharif, Asfandyar and all political leaders regardless of party when they're constantly criticized by traitors like Musharraf who want to take Pakistan back into the dark ages of dictatorship.

even then, okay I take back my comments which you for some reason always find so offensive. in fact, I will even apologize for them. though I think I was being perfectly reasonable when I said what I said. there was another thread where a poster said that she didn't know much about Pakistani politics but knew that all of them were corrupt. explain to me what is rational about that statement. like what part of that statement makes sense to you. break it down for me please. I'm slow - draw me a picture if you can.

regardless, like I said I take my comments back. so now, explain to me rationally what is so bad about what Zardari donating his organs. what exactly is wrong with this particular act of his that he is still being thrashed?

lastly, even though I think Zardari should get all the credit for PPP govt's achievements... but since he gets blamed for everything bad that happens in Pakistan, he might as well get some credit as well. so here goes:

  • Pakistan was fast losing the fight against the Taliban barbarians. it was the PPP govt that FINALLY took ownership of the war. and started hitting back. yes, there has been a lot of pain and misery but in the long term Pakistan cannot survive unless these bearded barbarians are wiped out. credit must go to the PPP govt for taking this stance which at time was not popular. this is what leadership ought to do - take a difficult position even if it isn't popular in the short term.

imo, should have been done a long time ago. I know the peace deal with the butchers of Swat was signed, was one of the darkest days I'd seen as a Pakistani. we practically surrendered a part of our country to matric fail retarded moulvis. but dayr ayad durust ayad I guess. finally the govt woke up and put the terrorists in their place.

regardless, PPP has done much better than that double dealing snake Musharraf and the beardos of MMA who spread this Taliban phenomenon in Pakthunkhwa. on one hand collected billions and in the process backstabbed everyone including his own country.

  • the PPP also deserves credit for how well it handled the IDP crisis. Pakistani ppl imo are just anti-govt. they're not anti-PPP, anti-PML. they're just anti-govt. they are like that paranoid child who is always afraid that the govt is going to steal something from them and run off. always scared of getting ripped off for some reason. this is why they hate the govt of the day so much. and never give credit for anything. but the IDP crisis imo was very well handled. IDPs were never going to be given five star accommodations (remember New Orleans?). anyone who expected it is a fool. but all things considered, the govt did very well in handling that situation.

  • freedom of speech, freedom of press. Musharraf the snake like to bellow about he had given the press its freedom and how the politicians would take it all away. well, guess what... politicians are here. and the press is freer than ever. not only is the press free. but what is said by journalists is noticed and acted upon by those in power. saying this on the basis of some episodes of hasb-e-haal and bolta Pakistan where politicians have responded and followed up on issues raised.

  • and even though the PPP govt should have restored the judges straight away as PM Gilani recently said... and regardless of how ugly things got, lets be fair here. things remained relatively peaceful and the judges were eventually restored after a lot of hoopla on the roads. nobody was murdered like in Musharraf's time (Hammad Raza shaheed, remember him?).

there is plenty of room for improvement. obviously the visible things have to fixed first and foremost... things like power, inflation, etc have to be fixed before the masses will be won over. but the PPP govt has done plenty right in a short time frame...

Our problem is that we only judge people by our hate scale and not by his/her actions.. Zardari has done a great dead and could be an example for others to donate our body parts after death.. We should appreciate Zardari.. by belitting Zardari on this act shows myopic shameless mindset.

Re: Zardari donates all body organs

HARAM KI ISLAM MAIN SAKHT MUMANAT HAY SO BE CAREFUL

Re: Zardari donates all body organs

once zardari used to be president of "All Pakistan Muchh Association" : D but then he shaved them, and kicked out of the association

Re: Zardari donates all body organs

thoray din bad president house say "clarification" ayegi, "sadar zardari kay bayan ko media nay ghalat andaz say post kiya hay, unhoon nay pesay advance mangay thay, donation ki bat nahi ki"

How sad that instead of appreciating the landmark *Bill on Organ Transplant *that President Zardari signed and afterwards announced his donation of body posts here are rediculing Zardari's great feat..

This Bill on Organ Transplant has three new features that make organ transplant much easier as last Bills in this regard had made it near impossible to get organs. It was said that only 3-4 transplats were occuring in Pakistan. Recent Bill has following three good amendments:

1) Commitee has been formed including doctors to confirm that door is genuine and not selling his/her organs

2) Fines have been enhanced manyfold if someone is caught in malafide organ transplats

3) Powers have been relegated to provinces instead of Federal for speedy finalization of cases.

Re: Zardari donates all body organs

People are ridiculing Zardari’s “great feat” because anyone will shrug off a good deed by Taliban, no good deed was accepted from Musharraf when he was in charge etc etc.

Re: Zardari donates all body organs

THis should had been the heading of the very important legislation that may curbe illegal organ donation…

Organ transplant bill signed into law

DAWN.COM | Front Page | Zardari offers to donate his organs: Transplant bill signed into law

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari singed on Wednesday the human organ transplant bill into law and offered to donate his organs to be used for transplant after his death.
Already passed by the National Assembly and Senate, the landmark law mandates the formation of a high-level authority and evaluation committees, for the removal, storage and transplant of human organs and tissues for therapeutic purposes.

The president signed the bill at a ceremony attended by federal ministers and health experts in the presidency.

The new legislation has prohibited the sale of organs to foreigners and will allow a voluntary organ or tissue donation to any other genetically and legally related person, who is a close relative such as a parent, son, daughter, sister, brother and spouse, with authorisation from an evaluation committee of specialists in the field helped by local notables to be set up for every medical institution and hospital where at least 25 transplants are carried out annually. The minimum age for donors will be 18.

Any individual may voluntarily donate any organ or tissue of his body during his lifetime to another living person genetically and legally related.

The other person must be a close blood relative of the donor and the donation of an organ or a part or tissue by a person for therapeutic purposes shall be regulated in the manner as may be prescribed.

It provides for donation to be effective after death if a person, authorises any medical institution or hospital approved by a 10-member monitoring authority headed by the health minister and including heads of organisations of the medical profession and specialists.

Under the new law, transplants and removal of human organs shall only be carried out by recognised professionals after a written certification from an evaluation committee.

The bill prescribes an imprisonment for up to 10 years and a fine of up to Rs1 million for those involved in the removal and sale of human organs without the prescribed authority.

Contravention of other provisions of the law will be punishable with up to three years of imprisonment or with a fine of up to Rs300,000, or both.

A medical practitioner found guilty of unauthorised removal of human organs for transplant will also be liable to ‘appropriate action’ by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, including removal from its register for three years for the first offence and permanently for the subsequent offence.

Any person may donate any of his organs or tissues for transplant before his death - after a written authorisation duly signed and verified by the respective evaluation committee - and authorise any medical institution or hospital duly approved by the monitoring authority for this purpose.

The evaluation committee, to comprise a surgical specialist, a medical specialist, a transplant specialist, a nephrologist and a neurophysician and local notables having a good record of social service, will be notified by the federal government soon.

The monitoring authority will be headed by the health minister and the health secretary would be its secretary.

Announcing donation of his body organs, President Zardari said he took the decision in the light of Benazir Bhutto’s philosophy of ‘living for others’. “Pakistan was singled out in the world community because of the notorious trade of organ transplant and now parliament and doctors should create awareness about the issue among the masses,” he said.

He asked doctors to inform the government in case of any violation and help save precious lives. “No law can be effective without people’s support,” he said, seeking help of the masses in countering the illegal trade.

Health Minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin said over 50,000 Pakistanis die of kidney failure, 10,000 of liver failure and 6,500 of heart failure every year. He said 42 institutions had been authorised to conduct transplants across the country. He said organ transplant was permitted in Islam and it was legal in a number of Muslim countries.

^ may be u read the legislation than the idiot post starter

Re: Zardari donates all body organs

He is not being criticized at all for his intention to donate his organs or for the Bill. He is being criticized for the way he has conducted his life and politics.

Well, original poster took wordings from the article itself and didn't make it up:
