Being happy for someone is totally different than being proud. LOL You haven't done anything to help him accomplish what he did at all, so where does the pride come from?
What If he blew himself up and killed a dozen of innocent people, would you feel ashamed, just because he's a "Bearded Guy"?
Seems like his beard matters more to you than what he has accomplished, since that's what you mentioned more in your post than what he actually did to get into the news. LOL
