It is important to keep an open mind.

Lets say you were buying a car. The more particular you are about features, colors etc, the less options you have. And these few options may or may not be in your budget. Meanwhile, there are other buyers with fat wallets and/or no scruples who swoop in and get those cars. Soon you will either have to give up on some of your requirements or take a chance by shelling extra.

So for a match, if you are looking for pakistani, grew up in the west, religious,educated, tall, intellectual, rich or getting there, romantic, loyal, open-minded,liberal etc., you just narrowed down your field to a few hundred. And there are lot of girls ( here and in Pakistan ) vying for them. They won’t last long.

Nothing wrong with having a ‘type’ as long as you’re realistic imo
