That's not entirely true actually... if u can take out a list of offenders in KSA since the last 10/15 years, you'll find 95 % of the offenders are non residents. So... the corruption actually makes this act VAGUE. If the ruling would go justified, I am pretty damn sure there would be an abundance of change.

Gain to the society because of public executions go unnoticed, does not mean that society does not gain from it.
But before we support public executions, the only time public executions add value to the social system is when the justice system they result out of, is a real justice system and not a half cooked legal mumbo jumbo that someone or a group pulled out of thin air

public executions are necessary as someone said. I think they are horrific and they serve the purpose, a crime should be punished so that people shirk away from it. If implemented properly , probably the best way to go.
