Re: Your opinon about this cake
Even from aesthetic point of view, such a badly done cake. Not even visually exciting.
Anyway, a ridiculous and tasteless idea (no pun intended).
Re: Your opinon about this cake
i don’t like this idea. also i think it is not appreciated in Islam to create figures of the holy Kabah.
Re: Your opinon about this cake
okay…on that note…
what of the current Islamic school practice of having a “mock hajj” where the kids dress up and circumnavigate a model of the kabah to simulate the process of hajj?
Is that okay?
Re: Your opinon about this cake
Gross and highly distasteful. Like someone said, its quite like face/image cakes and I cannot imagine cutting and devouring something I love so much. Kaaba commands our love and respect. Not playfulness.

i don’t have a definite answer for this one. some scholars term this as permissible as the objective is to teach the kids about the Hajj process and some scholars tell to avoid this as even if the objective is only to teach, there is a fear that people might start practicing the mock hajj as the ritual or start taking that as a part of worshiping.
Your opinon about this cake
Reminds me when I met a baker friend short while ago. she mentioned how she has a cupcake order and she is supposed to be designing Kaabas on the cupcakes!!! (For a Hajj completion party) my friend was going ahead with it but was afraid of what her mom’s reaction would be. I guess it’s blasphemous!
Re: Your opinon about this cake
I don’t have a problem with it … in fact I think it is kinda cute …
I might be wrong and will happily be corrected on this … but I can’t think of anything wrong in this concept - if anything it psychologically connects Islamic iconography with things we find to be associated to fun and enjoyment.
Re: Your opinon about this cake
Hmmmm…I don’t know the answer at all, but to me it seems the intention here is to educate them…not for pleasure/socializing/eating/showing off, like a cake would be so I’m not sure if that would be the same thing as a hajj cake…
Re: Your opinon about this cake
Its a place of unity for all Muslims.. We pray towards the Khana e Kaaba.. We don’t worship or anything like it..
So it should be ok.. I guess.. Wallah o Alam..
better be on the safe side and refrain from such trends… IMHO
Re: Your opinon about this cake
well i guess , for those who believe in drinking quranic ayahs via taweez etc , they might find it ok to consume this ..
but for me personally, I feel this is quite disrespectful, not only because its Kabah, but even if it was a Church or any other holy place, I wouldnt condone this at all.
Re: Your opinon about this cake
^I don’t believe in any of that stuff..
I find the cake a bit strange (in a cute way) but not really offensive..
