Your most favorite ex-car

Re: Your most favorite ex-car

That’s good. I miss driving Toyota Corolla manual in Pak. that was fun :smooth:

Driving in pak especially manual is really fun. I remember when I hired rent-a-car (Toyota / 2D) on my cousion’s wedding. I drove the car from lhr to sialkot on old motor-way (i guess) and the scene was awsoooooooom. All greenish greenish land looks beautiful in rainy day.

Re: Your most favorite ex-car

Yeh I went to Sahiwal and stopped at Patoki and it was really beautiful. Went to Harrappa too. I just came back from PAK after spending 2 months there. Driving in Pak is very intense though. Lot of crazy traffic.

Re: Your most favorite ex-car

Waisay manual is not so much fun in Lahore. My father drives a Mark X, which is automatic and believe me, its so much more comfortable than corolla or civic on lahore’s crowded roads…

And its being automatic doesn’t sacrifice any performance. It can easily beat a civic in a drag race…

In lhr pplz don’t drive more than 40 to 50 Km/h. I observed the driving in pak make u crazy but the way they drive is awsom, they save themselves as well as others too.

Whenever i visit pak, the first thing what i do is to hire a manual car.

Re: Your most favorite ex-car

manual? I’d think a person who doesn’t live in pak will be more comfortable with a automatic car, esp since everyone is driving on the basis of Allah bachaye…

I luv manual sports car even i own a sport coupe. U can shift it up/down whenever u want and this the fun in driving. Drive your way

Automatic cars r more comfortable if ur driving on a highway where u don’t hav lot of traffic and signals too.

Re: Your most favorite ex-car

Which is why I love corolla. The way it responds to you is just amazing. Honda is apparently more efficient and has a different type of RPM configuration

I drove many types of cars but when i drove Honda (sports couple like CRX, Prelude and Acura) bs uske ilawa mujeh koi or car pasand nahi ai, Now a days i driven ZO6 and the new 2010 camaro (chevy n couple) they r all awsom. Alas we don’t hav long road here and i just hit 240km/h once in Honda Prelude.

Re: Your most favorite ex-car

Ya Honda is a great car. Just saying that a Honda generally has less power than a Toyota of the same class. Like Corolla- City, or Altis-Civic. Athough I haven’t had the pleasure of driving honda’s more sophisticated cars like the ones u mentioned. We just don’t have them in Pakistan…

That said, Honda Civic is THE BEST LOOKING car available in Pakistan in the under 20 lakh category. Esp, its interior is better than many more expensive car. I took my civic for a drive the day I got it. Hit 210 km/h on a road near the airport. It’s a extension of the Defense housing in Lahore, and NOTHING has been built yet except the road so its like totally empty.

Agree but if we compare toyota vs honda, here toyota is one step ahead because of its AC as it is much better then Honda but the Honda hav VTEC, VVTEC engine which give more power including turbo inside the gearbox which makes engine consumption less and u won’t feel if 4 pplz r seated plus AC is on. Toyota does and u can feel the difference of load.

Re: Your most favorite ex-car

I LOVE cars, but I also hate making such a horrible investment, a car is the worst investment ever. As much as I would love to have a BMW or a Mercedes E-class, I can’t bring myself to spend that kind of money. I do love my Jetta though, it’s such a fun car to drive. Begum’s Jeep is nice too, good for hauling the boat and other crap around plus in this area you have to have at least one 4x4 because of all the snow we get.

In a few years thinking of upgrading to a newer Jeep Grand Cherokee and maybe getting that E-Class, however, I’m skeptical on the mercedes.

Re: Your most favorite ex-car

If you look at it as an investment or need then yes its a horrible investment, but look at it as your passion , hobby , love , and self satisfaction when you ride them , bro I tell you cars like Zonda or Austin give me shivers in the spine.
I work to improve my life style and Cars are on top of the list.

Re: Your most favorite ex-car

See, I’d rather spend that money on my boat or traveling or on something more permanent. On average, people get bored of their brand new cars in 11 months, the shininess just goes away and you start looking at other cars. To each his own I suppose, my real passion is water sports so I spend my money on dive trips.
