i absolutely LOVE this word...EUSTACHIAN TUBE** is a tube that links the pharynx to the middle ear*. It is a part of the middle ear. In adult humans, the Eustachian tube is approximately 35 mm long. It is named after the sixteenth-century anatomist, Eustachius.*

^so really there isn't a reaction because the clarifying agent just makes the floc visible but there were always present right?

^ yes. Particles were always there. Clarifying agent causes certain particles or colloids to clump together which is called a floc. The floc can then be filtered out.
