They were able to measure 1/8th of an inch.

they street and wall are so straight that you can't say it was build thousands years ago.

Re: Your favorite historical monuments

I like that.

nj there were no huge monuments. NO f-in towers. Forts. palaces.

U know what I mean?????? every thing was done for ppl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
u know what I mean?? there was huge shared hang out area with a pound in the middle. House as aligned as a line on paper. All the research was done for common people. Not for kings and queens OR for their freakin keeps.

If I had to chose a time in history to live in that would be it.

Re: Your favorite historical monuments

Taxila is somewhere on GT road :p It's famous for being settled by 3 different civilizations; the latest being the invasion of Alexander from Greece (as far as i can remember) I remember a trench, dug down quite a bit, with markers indicating the 3 different settelements. All the artifacts from that site are now in the British Museum, with fake replicas in the museum at the location. Taxila also boasts some pretty neat Pagodas. I have pics, but unfortunately not with me. The place is full of culture, amazing pottery pieces, jewellery but like PM said, i don't remember any buildings, except for the pagodas.
