Re: Your favorite highlighter?
Not sure to be honest. Just happens.
What do you call a chicken with salad in its eye?
A Chicken sees a salad. HA!
And thats the end of my derailing.
Re: Your favorite highlighter?
^ It took me a few to get that. I clearly nutha funny.
Argh, deceptive department store lighting. I’ve noticed when there’s no base for the highlighter to stick to, it sort of just spreads into a random, shiny mess. Maybe using it wet will make it show up?
Alhamdulilah … no it’s not me, phew.
And dude I have too much stuff I don’t use, even if it is mostly DS. Exhibit A looks delicious, I want to eat it! I’m looking for a peach blush. I like MAC’s Give Me Sun but it can look orange if you pick up too much.
Highlighters-wise, what do you think of this? They used to stock HC at Sephora once upon a time : My best beauty buys.: My new favorite thing – Hard Candy bronzer in Tiki
Re: Your favorite highlighter?
chaibiskut are you in the Uk or in the US? You sound Ingalish to me.
Hanyways, I think Benefit has a few pretty highlighters, Moonbeam is quite easy to use, although not sure if it's too silvery for some peoples. I've bought a nice goldy one recently from Mac which I was suprised about cos it was nice and pigmented. Forget the name of it, I'll go home and check.
Also ditto about the hoarding thingy :(
Re: Your favorite highlighter?
YesI have heard HC used to be sold at Sephora, but got pulled out for some reason. And that bronzer looks gorgeous (reminds me of the MAC Mineralized Skinfinishes or the Laura Gellar baked blush/bronzers). If you want something you could contour with or something w/ less shimmer, try the Physicians Formula ones that come w/ a heart design. The formula is wonderful. And I’m not too familiar w/ MAC blushes but a great peach one is NARS Amour or Gilda. And if you can get access to Sleek somehow, try the blush in Rose Gold or Suede!
Re: Your favorite highlighter?
Maddy, in the US. But I can spell/construct coherent sentences, so that throws people off. Vot to do.
Benefit's stuff seem to be quite popular, but I dunno if I can incorporate liquid into my non-existent make-up routine. Knowing me, I am going to apply powder foundation, then apply liquid highlighter, and then wonder why I have mud on my face. Do share your MAC purchase review, hoarder frand.
M, I'm not familiar either, but I tried Give Me Sun recently (actually a bronzer). Will check out the PF one. (Yep, been lemming Sleek for awhile now).
Re: Your favorite highlighter?
^If you just used the word "lemming", you are not officially a part of the Makeup Club since that's insider lingo right there. :D
Your favorite highlighter?
My name is cupcake and I too am a hoarder :( I love make-up and now I want a highlighter too which i know I'll never use because I'll have no reason to.
Re: Your favorite highlighter?
Heh, yeah chaibiscoot, your language kinda threw me off. I’ll still consider you Engalish at heart anyways. That’s a compliment, don’t worry.
Cupcake, I think there should be some kinda club we should form ![]()
Oh, just thought of another highlighter by Gosh, it’s a Sun Powder and it’s nice and subtle. It’s also HUGE, the pan lasts ages.
Gosh Giant Sun Powder - Sirvinya.com
My sister-in-law is a MUA and she really likes it too.
Oh, there was a beautiful one I saw a coupla weeks back which was too pricey for me, but I really liked how nice the colour was. It was by Guerlain, called Sun in the city, looks really pretty and goldeny but a bit expensive for me
I think it has pearls or something in it/
Re: Your favorite highlighter?
Oh and I haven't used the new one yet, will let you know if it's any good once I crack it open and dab it on!
Re: Your favorite highlighter?
^Sun Powder looks nice.
So if anyone is looking for a warm, subtle gold highlighter under 10 bucks, check out Hard Candy's Baked Bronzer in Tiki. It lived up to the online reviews. For the price point, I can't believe how finely milled this is. It's a light tan in the pan with veins of light gold. The result is a sheen/glow instead of the chunky glitter in some MSFs. The pigment is buildable, so you can't go wrong with it. It's daytime-friendly and I imagine it'll suit all skin tones. Who knew a trip to Walmart could be so much fun. I'm pleasantly surprised!
