Re: Your favorite highlighter?
I think if you wear makeup daily/often, it justifies the hoarding to an extent, but sadly I can’t say I do. Yep, Soft & Gentle is pretty pigmented and takes a verrryyy light hand to look good. I think I played around with an eyeshadow substitute once, but there’s a little too much pigment in those for me to control.
Brush for highlighter? Ha, no, I’m not that advanced. You’re talking to someone who uses the same brush for foundation and blush. And 'till very recently I had no clue how I fared on the social desirability scale - every time you guys throw an NC/NW number out I have to google it to see what you’re on about :D. But I did get dolled up by an MUA recently, so I know I’m C3 in F&B, Medium in MSF Natural (which looks scarily white in the pan to me), and NW25 in Pro longwear concealer. I’m guessing that’s NC 25-30ish? I think I’ll avoid cream/liquid highlighters - they’re too much work and knowing my lazy arse it’s just going to sit there and go bad. Currently eyeing a Hard Candy bronzer which works more like a highlighter - from online swatches the result seems to be a low-key sheen vs the intensity of MSFs. Will keep you posted.
M, you should think about starting your own line of cosmetics. You certainly have the passion and intuition for it.
ps. I picked up the Comfort Zone palette recently. Soon as I saw it, I thought, “M_was_here’s recommendation!” How weird are these internet rishtey? =)
