Col Faridi , Col Faridi and Col. Faridi :k:

No match of Col. Faridi , one of the finest character ever created in jasoosi adb of urdu language.

Plus when Qasim & Captain Hameed are together :smiley:

Imran specially in early novels like before serial 30 or so, later novels of Imran are almost farigh . I read Larkio ka Jazeera ( Imran Novel no. 10) when I was in class 4 and there I came to know of Ibne Safi . Besides having read 500+ of Ishtiaq Ahmed with still have 300 + in my cupboard , no match of Ibne Safi , superb . Unfortunately West is not familiar with his work .

In Imran Series , Safdar Saeed is my favourite and then Tanveer :smokin:

Mazhar Kaleem try to copy Ibne Safi but with alot of bongia , kafi choru hae. Still love his novels , missile factories, letahl weapons four star (siddiqi , chohan , khawar etc ) and all that stuff.

I wish that I have complete set of Col. Faridi Series . Anyone knows where I could find them in Lahore. Urdu Bazar old shops and footpath collection in front of GCU and PU , I tried but failed. Asrar Publications in Beadon Road , i think also closed .

I have still not read “Shola Series” of Col. Faridi . Searching for it , suna bri weshi hae :smokin:

Plus " Qatil Sangreze " , “Purhol Sannata” " Mot ki Andhi" of Col. Faridi are classics !

Xing Hi is also my favorite. Imran used to call him Chacha and he call Imran Bhateeja :D .

First time Imran met him in "Lasho ka Bazar" , when Imran was studying in Oxford and living with London Police Commissioner and there , he cleverly learnt " Xing Art" from him . It is a great novel .

Yes db, after seeing people praising it so much, I'm thinking to give it a chance. I was amazed with your interest for the series. What else do you read other than these spy / adventure novels?

you should read Ibne Safi specially Col. Faridi series and also Imran.

Mostly I read Ibne Safi again and again . I read first spy novel "Jamshed pr Case" of Ishtiaq Ahmed when I was in class 1 and my sister brought it from her school friend so have love of spy novels since long time. Loved the film Sherlock Holmes (2009) , hope to see Game of Shadows(2011) soon.

PK, BTW aren’t you too young to know all these characters from an old series. I think the series was popular till early 90s. :hmmm:
