Darnit TLK!!! I was gonna open this thread :naraz: I had even prepared a message that was def. going to start a fight among girls and their mother-in-laws (if they were also a member).

I personal don’t agree with it and believe this is BS.

For my thoughts:

Let's assume the research is accurate and the article is true, we still have unfinished information and imprecise conclusions.

1) What if male has low Y chromosome sperm count then it does not matter how many bananas a woman eats she will still get girls.

2) Nutrion-rich mixes enhances longevity of male zygotes, but what affect does it have on female zygotes? Is there a corresponding increase or no change?

3) It may be that the lifespan of male zygotes increase due to the potassium nutrition rich environments, but all indication as stated in the article that obese women do not easily get pregnant so does the effect cancel out anyway?

There is one theory with regards to getting boys and girls which I feel is much more credible than this one. But first a bit of background:

Some time ago Jews test Muhammad (SAW) to see if he was a prophet and asked him (SAW) 3 questions, one of which was "How is gender determined?" The answer given is noteworthy. But I believe it is still a general rule and there could be exceptions.

The answer was that if males produce their water first then it will be a boy and if women produce their water first then it will be a girl. The Jews confirmed this answer too.

Now here is the science behind this ... Y chromosomes are categorically more perishable than X chromosomes. Meaning they will die quicker than the X ones. However, they are faster at swimming than the X ones whilst they are alive. The natural cycle of sperm production is that in the testes immature sperm cells are produced and are sent to the epididymis this is the muscular section that joins semen excreta with sperm and ejaculates the mixture. It is also a holding place for the immature cells to mature they take between one to three weeks to do this. It is therefore obvious that more Y cells will be present by proportion to the X ones at the end of week one than say in the middle of week three. If the cells are not used i.e. not ejaculated then the body will reabsorb them. The region is slightly cooler than the rest of the body too for good reason. Very hot baths can damage both X and Y but the chances are Y will be more affected. Diving is often advised for those who wish to have girls. Perhaps the mechanical act of copulation can damage the Y chromosomes too.

What it means that 'water flows' can be interpreted many ways. Some have said it means orgasm, others could argue it means the cycles of sperm and ova.

For a boy therefore to enhance the chances it could be possible to increase those chances by doing the following:

1) Keep male cooler than normal before sensual activity
2) Ensure a fresh load is present in the male, i.e. copulate on three days consecutive with protection and then wait a week, then get action the next day as the target date.
3) Try to make the process as enjoyable for the man as possible; do not go tantric! Make it quick basically.
4) Get Missus to eat those bananas during that week long wait.
5) This should really be at the top, but do du'a that Allah (SWT) gives you healthy boy.

I think the girl process should be obvious enough from above ... It is true Allah (SWT) determines gender we can but do what we can do ... but should be thankful for what we get.

psyah, that was a good response. although i think both genders are a blessing from Allah, chances for a boy can be higher if you time intercourse for right at or around ovulation. The male sperm "swim" the fastest, so the closer you time it right before ovulation, the better your chances that the male sperm will penetrate the egg. the hard part is that most women have absolutely no idea when they ovulate. it's easier these days with at-home ovulation kits, but doing basal body temperate and monitoring cervical fluid are always easy ways of finding out.
