My peeli larhki will have to sit amongst ppl who eat their haleem with naan … i hope she doens’t start that habit! haleem is only meant to be eaten with a chamcha

no your’e not! we eat all of it with a spoon ONLY! Haleem is a grand dish and it is my theory that it is disrespectful to eat it with anything else, as if to say that it is not good enuf to be eaten on its own lol… thats just how karachi waale loog eat haleem… u can tell someone is from a punjabi b/g if they wanna eat haleem with naan/roti (like so many of our family friends)…
and i’m only joking about the above, i mean anyone can eat haleem any which way they like so plz dont hammer me not being intolerant.

I prefer eating haleem with a spoon but don’t mind eating it with bread when I am extra hungry. Do you have a problem with that?

Peeli is an adult, she is free to make her own decision. May be she is forced to eat with spoon at your house but she really wants to eat it with roti/naan. If she wants to, she can eat it with roti/naan, otherwise she can eat with spoon. We will respect her decisions/choices
