I think the person who asks these type of question knows neither Islam, hinduism nor Yoga.

Hint: Weather someone agrees or not understand, the basic philosophy is contradiction to each other.

This is not about being holier than thou or belittling anyone. Those who know Yoga is not Islamic merely state the fact.

For you Hinduism might just be Sati, Idol Worship, caste. The website talks about true essense of hinduism and buddhism and yes, actually its Yog not “Yoga”; it is basic structure of Hinduism and Buddhism.

According to yogic text books meaning of Yoga: “Karm ki kushalta ko yog kentein hai” i.e. When you reach excellence in anything you become a Yogi of that field.

There is (as far as I know):
Karm Yog: When you excell in any field by devoting your work to God.

Bhakti Yog: You devote your life in devotion to God or bhakti.

Hath Yog: Relates to physical aspect of your body. You clean and take care of your body by practising “asanas” or postures recommended by ancient Guru Patanjali.

People here are talking about Hath Yog, that relates to physical aspect of the body.

So, Mr Diwana, if you devote your life in Allah’s devotion, then you practise Bhakti yoga and you are a Bhakti Yogi.

Please read here. This person is upset that there is even a term like “Christian Yoga”. He does not want it dissociated from hinduism.

In ths way, curiouslady was correct earlier in post # 7.

By the way I have had a long discussion with a devout Budhist on this topic who practiced Yoga for 20 years. Very informative in-depth and intriguing discussion. The person had severe long term back pain and was on medications. This person did not say it was due to Yoga and I just had to agree with that. :slight_smile:

Bottom line: One cannot separate it from religion.

You should have informative and in depth and intriguing discussion with my Khaala and her husband. They used to take insulin shots everyday for the last 25 years, but thanks to their Yoga guru, they have almost got a new body, they dont take insulin shots anymore now. And trust me, they havent converted to hinduism.

Yes, you cannot separate it from religion, but you can associate any religion to it.

Oh yes, for that you will have shell out some bucks from your pocket. How about getting started by buying this report from Harvard University. Start with report on anxiety and depression, give me your feedback. Then I can provide you more.

All you give have to give is your opinion. And opnions are like armpits , everybody has got two and most of them stink.

aap yoga karo aur jo bhi poses hyn sath sath darood pak parha karo ya koi bhi soorat.i do yoga lakin me sath sath darood bhi parhti hoon.kuch poses hyn face beauty ko increase karnay k liye to sath me darood parhnay se aap ko faeeda hee ho ga.thats what i think............
