Then how do you explain the one which is believed to be genetic ?
Pessimism maybe a factor in promoting some forms of depression but is not the only factor.

aap ne suna nahin desi maen apni betiyon ko apne hath kamzor bana deti hain? so if depression is transferred from on generation to other, its not a big deal. There might be reasons for depression other than pessimism, but then why its non-existent who are optimists and believe in God and His powers.
