Rey Mysterio vs. Tajiri (c)

Tajiri’s music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the Cruiserweight Champion for a title defense against Rey Mysterio, who Tajiri defeated to win the Cruiserweight Championship just four weeks ago. This past Thursday, Tajiri sprayed black mist into the face of Nidia and the commentators pointed out that she’s suffering from impaired vision but unfortunately, it may be permanent.

The start:

Before the match started, Rey Mysterio asked the referee to check Tajiri for mist. Brian Hebner checked for it, but Tajiri had none in his mouth. Tajiri kicked at Mysterio to back him off at the start of the match and then the two locked it up in the center of the ring. Mysterio backed Tajiri towards the ropes but Tajiri powered Mysterio to the corner. Both men continued with the tie up until Tajiri flung himself through the ropes, pulling Mysterio down to the outside of the ring with him.

Mid-match notes:

Tajiri went for the handspring elbow but Rey Mysterio countered it with a drop kick to the back to send Tajiri to the outside of the ring. Rey Mysterio then jumped on Tajiri with a plancha over the top rope and then he picked Tajiri up and rolled him back into the ring.

Tajiri worked over the left arm of Rey Mysterio during the match.

Rey Mysterio headed to the top rope but Tajiri slowed him down with a stiff kick to the head. Tajiri then perched Mysterio on the ropes and went for a reverse arm bar from the ropes but Mysterio fought out of it, knocking Tajiri down with a headbutt. Rey then jumped off at Tajiri and caught him in a tornado DDT and then he pinned him but only got a two count.

Mysterio went for a springboard senton but Tajiri ducked it and then he kicked Mysterio in the gut. Mysterio then hooked the ropes and gave Tajiri the 619 to the gut and then he went for the West Coast Pop but Tajiri countered it into a devastating power bomb pin for a two count.

Tajiri put Rey Mysterio in the tarantula and held onto it as long as he could and then he went to the center of the ring for the kick of death but Mysterio ducked it. Tajiri went for a sunset flip but Mysterio rolled through and then gave Tajiri a drop kick to the face.

The finish:

Mysterio gave Tajiri a slingshot into the second rope and then he nailed Tajiri with the 619 to knock him back to the center of the ring. Rey then stood up and gave Tajiri the West Coast Pop and a couple guys (Jimmy Yang & Ryan Sakoda) tried to get into the ring but security and officials restrained them. As that was happening, Tajiri kicked Rey Mysterio in the head and then pinned him for the three count to retain the title.

Winner and still Cruiserweight Champion, Tajiri

Vince McMahon was shown backstage and Josh Matthews caught up with him and asked him how he’s feeling about his match tonight? Vince said he’s obviously not quite as nervous as Josh is holding that microphone. How is he feeling, what a stupid question to ask him. Doesn’t he realize how deeply this hurts him to have to do this tonight. Doesn’t he realize how personal this is? This is personal, yet at the same time it’s business. You might say it’s personal business and there’s a number of individuals rooting against him, including Superstars on the roster. Vince then said that if anyone interferes in the match tonight, they will not be employed. Not just here, but for anybody ever again. He’ll see to it. Vince then asked Josh what he wants to say now? He wants to say “thank you very much.” Vince demanded that he say it and Josh uttered the words “thank you very much, Mr. McMahon.”

Referee: Jim Korderas
A-Train vs. Chris Benoit

A-Train’s music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for a one on one match against Chris Benoit.

The start:

Chris Benoit and A-Train locked it up in the center of the ring but A-Train immediately powered Chris Benoit to the corner where he told Benoit that he’s nothing. Chris Benoit fought back with some right hands until A-Train knocked Chris Benoit to the outside of the ring with a shoulder block.

Mid-match notes:

During the match, there was a lot of talk about how Chris Benoit was trained in the Hart Dungeon, ran of course by Stu Hart who unfortunately passed away Thursday night.

With Chris Benoit down on the mat, A-Train grabbed him by the legs and gave him a slingshot into the bottom of the middle rope in what could be described as a decapitator.

A-Train hooked Chris Benoit in a butterfly suplex and instead of falling back, he sent Benoit forward onto A-Train’s knee and then he pinned him for a two count. After the move, Chris Benoit was noticeably bleeding from the mouth.

A-Train whipped Chris Benoit off the ropes and Benoit came back by sliding under A-Train and then he kicked A-Train in the gut and planted him with a DDT.

A-Train grabbed a steel chair and brought it into the ring and then Benoit knocked it out of his hand by kicking him a number of times. A-Train lifted Chris Benoit above his head and Benoit tried to counter but he fell out of the hands of A-Train onto the steel chair, head first. (scary moment) A-Train then choked Chris Benoit and then he set the chair up in the corner.

To show that he’s OK, Chris Benoit quickly battled back on A-Train and then he rolled A-Train down to the mat and put him in the Crossface. As A-Train started to break the hold, Chris Benoit grabbed A-Train by the waist and gave him a series of German suplexes. Chris Benoit then went to the top rope but A-Train yanked him down by pulling him to the center of the ring, sending him sailing to the mat.

A-Train mocked Chris Benoit and he started to go to the top rope but Chris Benoit got up and A-Train got back in the ring and gave Benoit the derailer and a pin for a two count.

The finish:

A-Train then went to kick Chris Benoit but Benoit moved and A-Train put his foot through the chair and Benoit went for the sharpshooter and he finally hooked it on after having troubles with A-Train’s long legs. Chris Benoit forced A-Train to tap out to the sharpshooter to pick up the win!

Bradshaw started the match off in the ring against Doug Basham and Bradshaw went over and taunted Danny and then he locked it up with Doug. Bradshaw powered Doug into the corner and then he gave him a clubbing blow to the back and then some right hands to start it off.

Mid-match notes:

Danny Basham charged at Faarooq but Faarooq caught him in a spinebuster and then both men made the tag, bringing Bradshaw and Doug Basham into the ring.

Bradshaw got in the ring like a house of fire and he gave Doug Basham a vicious power bomb and then a pin for a two count. Danny got in the ring and gave Bradshaw a thumb to the eyes to slow him down, but that didn't last too long.

Bradshaw went for the clothesline from hell but Danny ducked it and then Bradshaw gave him the fall away slam. Doug went to the top rope but Faarooq grabbed him by the tights to stop him and then Bradshaw gave Doug the fall away slam from the second rope. Bradshaw then pinned Doug but only got a two count as Doug broke it up.

The finish:

Faarooq got in the ring and inadvertently ran into referee Mike Sparks to send him down to the mat. Doug and Danny then took control and Bradshaw laid Doug out with the clothesline from hell and then Shaniqua came out and nailed Bradshaw in the back of the head with a club and then Danny got in the ring and knocked Bradshaw down to the mat with a kick to the head and then pinned him for the three count to get the win.

Winners - the Basham Brothers

Backstage:

The Bashams were shown celebrating and Josh Matthews caught up with them and said that no one expected Shaniqua back tonight. Shaniqua said of course. It's going to take a lot more than a clothesline from hell to keep her out of action. Shaniqua pointed out what the clothesline from hell did and she pointed out her bigger breasts, calling it swelling in her chest. The Bashams asked if it's permanent and Shaniqua said that the doctor said that it could be permanent. Shaniqua told them that they did very well and deserve to be rewarded. Let's go and whip it good. The Bashams and Shaniqua then went on their way.

No Holds Barred I Quit Match
Referee: Nick Patrick
Vince McMahon vs. Stephanie McMahon

And now it's time for the first ever father vs. daughter No Holds Barred I Quit Match. As said by Vince McMahon earlier tonight, Stephanie can now win this match by pinfall or submission but Vince must force Stephanie to tap out. Again, there will be no holds barred in this match and if Stephanie loses, she'll have to step down as the General Manager of Smackdown!. If Vince McMahon loses, he's out of a job as the Chairman of the WWE. Linda McMahon accompanied Stephanie out to the ring and Linda will be in Stephanie's corner as Sable will be in Vince's corner.

The start:

Linda pleaded with Vince not to have this match but Stephanie pulled Linda back. Vince started the match off by giving Stephanie a clubbing blow to the back to knock her down.

Mid-match notes:

Stephanie jumped on Vince's back and choked away on him but Vince pulled Stephanie down to send her down to the mat.

Vince choked Stephanie over the second rope and then Sable slapped her across the face. Linda went after Sable but Vince got in between them to stop Linda from getting at Sable.

Linda slapped Vince across the face and then Stephanie gave him a low blow and a roll up for a two count.

Stephanie grabbed a lead pipe and held it up and got ready to hit Vince with it and she waited until Vince charged at her. Stephanie then nailed Vince in the gut, the back and the face with the lead pipe. Stephanie then went to the second rope and came off with a shot to the head and then she pinned Vince but Vince got his foot on the rope.

Sable got on the ring apron and the referee went towards her and yelled at her. Vince then grabbed Stephanie from behind but Stephanie shoved Vince into Sable to knock her down and then Steph gave Vince a bulldog and a pin for a two count.

Stephanie then grabbed the lead pipe again and got ready to hit Vince with it but Vince grabbed her by the throat and shoved her into the mat. Vince then nailed Stephanie in the mid section with the pipe and then he choked Stephanie with the pipe.

The finish:

As Vince choked Stephanie, Linda threw in the towel to end the match.

Winner - Vince McMahon

The Aftermath:

As Linda attended to Stephanie, Vince grabbed Linda by the face and then shoved her down to the mat. Vince then got out of the ring and left with Sable. EMTs and officials came out to the ring to attend to Linda and Stephanie after Vince and Sable left the ring. Nick Patrick helped Linda and Stephanie to the backstage area and Stephanie waved goodbye, for the last time....

John Cena vs. Kurt Angle

John Cena's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring and this is a one on one match with John Cena against the Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle! Before the match, Cena took the mic and cut a rap on Kurt Angle.

The start:

Angle and Cena locked it up in the center of the ring and Cena started to back Angle into the corner but Angle turned the tides on Cena to slam him into the corner. The referee called for a break and he got just that. It should be noted that at the start of the match, you could hear some fans chanting "Cena, Cena!"

Mid-match notes:

The fans honestly didn't know who to root for as they chanted "Let's go Cena, let's go Angle."

Angle whipped Cena into the corner and then Angle charged at him with a shoulder block but Cena moved out of the way to send Angle crashing into the ring post, shoulder first.

Kurt Angle started bleeding from the mouth during the match. Unsure what caused it.

John Cena went to the top rope and Kurt Angle hopped up and went for the belly to belly but Cena shoved him down. Cena then came off the top rope but Kurt Angle nailed him with a drop kick on the way down.

Kurt Angle went for a German suplex from the ring apron to the outside of the ring but Cena held onto the ropes and countered it with a DDT onto the ring apron.

John Cena called for the FU and he lifted Kurt Angle on his shoulders and planted him with the FU and then pinned him but only got a two count.

Cena went for the FU once again but Angle countered it with the Angle Slam and then a pin for a two count of his own.

John Cena grabbed his steel chain and then he wrapped it around his hand but the referee took it. Cena then wrapped the Gold Medals around his wrist and then he laid Angle out with them and then pinned him but only got a two count.

The finish:

Cena once again went for the FU but Angle countered and put Cena in the ankle lock. Cena attempted to get to the ropes but Angle put Cena in a leg lock while he held onto the ankle lock and that forced Cena to tap out.

Winner - Kurt Angle

United States Championship Match
Referee: Nick Patrick
The Big Show vs. Eddie Guerrero (c)

The Big Show's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the challenger for the United States Championship against Eddie Guerrero. It should be noted that Eddie Guerrero's back is bandaged up after what happened this past Thursday night on Smackdown!.

The start:

Eddie Guerrero started it off with some kicks to the mid section of The Big Show. Eddie backed Big Show into the corner and gave him some right hands but The Big Show easily over powered Guerrero.

Mid-match notes:

Behind the referee's back, Eddie Guerrero nailed The Big Show in the head with a trash can lid.

The Big Show exposed the top turnbuckle and then he whipped Eddie Guerrero into it to send him down to the mat.

The Big Show perched Eddie Guerrero on the top rope and then Eddie pulled Big Show's head into the turnbuckle and then he came off the top rope with a splash to pin Big Show for a two count. As Big Show kicked out, Eddie Guerrero landed on the referee and then The Big Show went for a leg drop on Eddie but Eddie rolled out of the way and the referee got nailed.

Eddie Guerrero went into his tights and pulled out some brass knuckles and then laid The Big Show out with them. Eddie Guerrero then woke the referee up and pinned Big Show for a two count.

Eddie Guerrero grabbed the United States Title and brought it into the ring and nailed The Big Show with it and then he tossed the title out of the ring. Eddie then went to the top rope and came off with the frog splash and a pin for another two count.

Eddie charged at The Big Show and The Big Show caught him in a vicious spinebuster and then he pinned Eddie but only got a two count.

Big Show grabbed Eddie Guerrero by the throat and planted him with a choke slam and then he pinned Eddie Guerrero for a two count as Eddie put his foot on the bottom rope to save himself.

An angered Big Show pulled down the straps and went for a choke slam but Eddie gave Big Show a low blow and then he planted him with a DDT.

The finish:

The Big Show planted Eddie Guerrero with another choke slam and then he pinned him for the three count to win the United States Title!

Winner and new United States Champion, The Big Show

The Aftermath:

After The Big Show left as the new United States Champion, Chavo came out to the ring and Eddie shoved him back, disappointed in himself. Chavo tried to tell Eddie that they're still the tag team champions but Eddie still wasn't too happy with his loss to The Big Show.

Backstage:

Josh Matthews caught up with The Big Show and he congratulated him on his victory tonight. Is there anything he'd like to say? The Big Show said that he's so excited he can't even talk. Yeah, he'd like to say "I told you." He said he'd beat Eddie Guerrero and he did. Big Show gave him a beating that only a 7 foot 2, 500 pound giant could give. Eddie hit Big Show with everything he had and it still wasn't enough. Big Show is a giant and that means that nobody can take the US Title from him.

Heavyweight Championship Match
Biker Chain Match
Referee: Brian Hebner
The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar (c)

The following contest is a Biker Chain Match and the first wrestler to get the chain may use it on his opponent. It looks like the "on a pole" matches are back because the chain is suspended in the corner on a steel pole. The Undertaker's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the challenger for the Heavyweight Title against Brock Lesnar!

The start:

The Undertaker went for a clothesline on Brock but Brock ducked it and got the Undertaker to chase after him around the ring. Brock went behind Taker and then shoved him into the corner and gave him a number of shoulder blocks and kicks in the corner.

Mid-match notes:

Taker put Brock in an arm wringer and he went to the corner for the maneuver referred to as 'old school' but Brock gave Taker some kicks and punches to stop it.

Taker gave Brock a big boot and a leg drop and then he pinned him for a two count. Taker then grabbed Brock by the arm and climbed the ropes and jumped off with a hard shot to the back of the neck of Brock Lesnar.

Taker hung Brock up on the ropes and then he set his sights on the chain. Taker climbed to the top rope and he went for the chain but the lights went out in the arena and when the lights came back on, Taker was standing in the ring. You could hear Taker say "****" and that's when he started to climb back up for the chain but Brock stopped him from doing so.

The steel steps wound up in the ring and Brock gave Taker a drop toe hold into the steel steps. Brock then went to slam the Undertaker's head into the steel steps but Taker blocked it.

On the outside of the ring, the Undertaker gave Brock Lesnar a piledriver on the steel steps. Taker then climbed up to the top rope for the chain but Brock was somehow able to get up to pull the Undertaker down. Taker grabbed Brock in a triangle choke against the ropes and Brock fell to the ring apron as Taker fell into the ring.

Brock picked up the steel steps in the ring and drove them into the Undertaker's head to send him down to the mat and then Brock pinned Taker for a two count. Brock immediately pinned Taker once again but only got a two count.

Brock went to use the steel steps again but Taker kicked them into the face of Brock Lesnar to send him down to the mat.

Brock went for the chain with Taker down in the corner and Taker stood up and pulled Lesnar down in the Last Ride position but Brock got out of it. Brock and Taker then collided with a double clothesline to send each other down to the mat.

Taker went for a choke slam but Brock countered it and gave Taker a spinebuster and Brock pinned Taker but Taker got out of it with a triangle choke on Brock Lesnar. Brock eventually countered the triangle choke by powering the Undertaker up and giving him a power slam.

Brock went for a power slam but the Undertaker got out of it and put Brock in a dragon sleeper. Brock fought out of it with some shots to the head and then he lifted Taker above his head and gave him the F5. Brock then pinned the Undertaker but he only got a two count as Taker got his foot on the bottom rope.

Brock then climbed up and went after the Biker Chain and the Undertaker grabbed him by the legs but Brock kicked at Taker to fend him off. But unfortunately for Brock, that wasn't enough as the Undertaker gave Brock Lesnar a choke slam from the very top rope. The Undertaker then set his sights on the steel chain but the FBI made their way out to the ring. Taker disposed of Nunzio but Stamboli and Palumbo dominated the Undertaker. Taker was eventually able to fight them off.

Brock went for the F5 again but Taker got out of it and he gave Brock Lesnar the Last Ride. Taker then went off the ropes and launched himself on the FBI on the outside of the ring. Nunzio went to get the chain but he was unable to reach it and he started climbing the pole but the Undertaker knocked him down with a hard right hand. Taker then grabbed the steel chain and Vince McMahon came out and knocked the Undertaker off the top rope.

The finish:

Brock Lesnar grabbed the steel chain and wrapped it around his wrist and then he laid out the Undertaker with it. Brock then pinned the Undertaker for the three count to pick up the win.

Winner and still Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar

The Aftermath:

Vince McMahon quickly left the arena as Brock Lesnar grabbed the WWE Title and celebrated his victory over the Undertaker.

SHANE MCMAHON vs. KANE

Ross billed it as the final encounter between them. An ambulance pulled up on the stage. Howard Finkle explained the rules - the winner is the first person to put his opponent in the ambulance and lock the door. Shane dove at Kane in the ring to start the match and Kane took a scary looking head-first bump to the floor. They then brawled at ringside. Shane put the stairs over Kane’s head and then hit the stairs with a chair. He followed up by hitting Kane with the monitor at ringside. Then Shane dove off the top rope and landed on Kane on the Spanish announcers’ table at ringside. At 2:00 Shane went into the crowd and encouraged Kane to follow him through the crowd. They went backstage with the cameras and showed Shane running and Kane lumbering behind him in pursuit. Ross said Shane is leading Kane someplace. Shane then came up behind Kane with a kendo stick and bashed him. Shane is quite tricky. Shane backed up an SUV into Kane in a booth backstage, then called for the ambulance. As Shane tried to get the ambulance, Kane recovered and began beating up Shane. He dragged Shane back into the arena bowl. He threw Shane into the ambulance. Shane escaped Kane’s grip as he was about to ram him head-first into the ambulance. Shane then rammed Kane’s head into the ambulance several times. Lawler wondered if the ambulance was going to be able to even make it to the hospital. Kane fought back and threw Shane into the ambulance. Just as Kane was about to close the second door on him, Shane kicked it open and made a Tommy Dreamer Superman Comeback out of nowhere. He gave Kane a tornado DDT on the floor. Shane bashed Kane over the head with a trash can. Shane leaped off the ambulance roof onto a big black box that was pushed up against Kane on the floor. It wasn’t entirely clear how the move was supposed to hurt Kane. There was a small “Holy sh–” chant for a couple seconds. Shane loaded Kane’s dead weight into the ambulance. He tried to slam the second door, but Kane blocked it and then he dragged Shane into the ambulance with him. Kane then got his official second wind, shoving Shane out of the ambulance and slammed him into the side of the ambulance. Ross said it was “human carnage.” Kane gave Shane a tombstone piledriver. The camera clearly showed Shane’s head didn’t come anywhere close to the floor. I wonder if that was the camera angle they meant to use. Kane then threw Shane into the ambulance and slammed both doors to win the match.

WINNER: Kane

THE BASHAMS (w/Shaniqua) vs. EDDIE & CHAVO GUERRERO

The Bashams got early advantage, then the Guerreros took over. Shaniqua distracted the ref, giving Danny a chance to switch places with Doug. Chavo then yanked Shaniqua into the ring and held her down for an Eddie Guerrero frogsplash. Chavo then gave Shaniqua a spanking. Chavo mistakenly kicked Eddie. When Chavo turned to tend to Eddie, Danny rolled him up from behind and yanked on his tights to score a pin. Chavo explained to Eddie what happened and, as usual, seemed to be passing off the blame.

WINNERS: The Bashams to retain the tag titles

BOOKER T & ROB VAN DAM & THE DUDLEYS & SHAWN MICHAELS (“Team Austin”) vs. CHRIS JERICHO & CHRISTIAN & SCOTT STEINER (w/Stacy) & MARK HENRY (w/Teddy Long) & RANDY ORTON (“Team Bischoff”)

Ross referred to Raw as “the flagship” when talking about getting to see Jericho and RVD every Monday night on Spike TV as those two had some nice early exchanges. Steiner tagged in and suplexed RVD a couple times and then did some pushups. Steiner gave RVD a belly-to-belly off the top rope for a two count. They showed Austin looking on concerned. Booker hot-tagged in and went to work on Steiner with great energy. Steiner cut him off with a clothesline. Booker came back and did his Spinaroonie and then hit Steiner with a spinebuster. Ten-way chaos broke out next with most everyone spilling quickly to ringside. Steiner then gave Booker a low-blow, but the ref didn’t see it. He followed with the Steiner Recliner. Stacy stood on the apron and cheered for Booker and distracted the ref. Steiner released Booker and then grabbed Stacy by the hair. That gave the Dudleys a chance to give him the 3D from behind. Booker then followed up with a Bookend for the three count . Henry followed up with a quick powerslam to eliminate Booker. RVD faced off against Henry next. The Dudleys gave Henry a 3D and RVD followed with a nice Five-Star Frogsplash and Henry was eliminated by a Bubba pin. Jericho and RVD faced off next. RVD and Orton squared off. RVD set up for a Five-Star, but Jericho shoved him off the top rope and Orton then hit his finisher for the pin on RVD . D-Von then faced off against Orton. Jericho pinned D-Von, leaving it Orton & Christian & Jericho vs. Bubba & Michaels. Michaels hadn’t tagged in yet, and Orton and Christian had seen very limited action. Michaels tagged in the first time. Both teams tagged in and out for a few minutes. Jericho mistakenly hit Christian and then Bubba set up a Bubbabomb, but Jericho mule kicked him. Christian then finished off Bubba for the win, leaving Jericho & Christian & Orton vs. Michaels. Austin looked worried at ringside. Michaels showed nice fire in working over Christian and did a nice kip up. Jericho yanked down the top rope, so when Christian whipped him into the ropes Michaels bumped to the floor. Christian and Michaels had a nice chopfest. Jericho yanked Michaels to ringside. Jericho catapulted Michaels into the ringpost, and Michaels (who clearly bladed right before the catapult) came up bleeding very heavily. Michaels caught Christian out of nowhere with a superkick to make it two-on-one. Fans began an “HBK” chant. Ross called for a miracle. Michaels put a sleeper on Orton. Orton suplexed out of it seconds later. He tagged right out to Jericho, who scored a near fall. Lawler said he hated to say it, but it wasn’t looking good for Austin’s team. Michaels surprised Jericho with a DDT out of nowhere. Both men were down. Michaels covered Jericho and scored a two count. Orton entered the ring. Michaels tossed him over the top rope right away. Jericho then went for a Lionsault, but Michaels lifted his knees and caught Jericho in the gut. Both men were down on the mat, Michaels a bloody mess and Jericho clutching his stomach. Michaels then got up and went for a superkick, but Jericho ducked it. Michaels then rolled up Jericho into a small package for a “miraculous three count.” Jericho retaliated with a chairshot to Michaels’s skull, then trash-talked Austin. Austin told Jericho he got beat and to return to the back, then he tossed him the middle finger. That left Orton vs. Michaels . Orton flew off the top rope toward Michaels, but Michaels moved, so Orton hit the ref. Bischoff attempted to interfere, but Austin entered the ring and gave him a Stunner. He then beat him all the way back to the stage. Michaels covered Orton, but with the ref still down, Batista powerbombed Michaels. The ref began to come to, and there was no sign of Austin or Bischoff, who had fought to the back. Orton draped his arm over Michaels and the ref made a groggy three count. Austin returned from the back and looked dismayed at what just happened.

WINNER: Team Bischoff

VINCE MCMAHON vs. UNDERTAKER - Buried Alive Match

Vince prayed to a higher power before the match. It didn’t help, as Undertaker beat on Vince from the opening bell and Vince bladed hard right away in the opening seconds. Taker beat on Vince in the ring and at ringside methodically nonstop for eight minutes. There were puddles of blood all over ringside. Taker stiffed Vince over the skull with a shovel, and then rammed his ankle with the stairs. Vince screamed in pain. Taker carried Vince to the pile of dirt. As he tried to drag him up the mound of dirt, Vince fired back with a low blow, his first offense of the match. VInce then grabbed the shovel and swung it into Taker’s chest, knocking him backward into the hole in the ground. When Vince went in after him, Taker came back by punching Vince. Taker went up to the tractor to try to pour dirt on Vince, but an explosion came from the tractor. Kane then showed his face and knocked Taker into the plot. Kane helped Vince out of the hole and sent him away. Kane then stood over Taker in the hole. Tazz pointed out it was no DQ, no countout, so Kane could legally interfere and pour the dirt on Taker. Cole said, “But that’s Undertaker’s brother!” Kane then poured the dirt over Taker, completely filling the hole. The bell rang and Cole said, “Undertaker has been buried alive.”

WINNER: Vince McMahon

GOLDBERG vs. TRIPLE H (w/Ric Flair) - World Hvt. Title match

Goldberg attacked Hunter as soon as he got to the ring, giving him a spear even before the bell rang. The ref was distracted by Flair, thus the excuse for why Goldberg wasn’t DQ’d like Hardcore Holly was at the start of the show. Goldberg clotheslined Flair out of the ring, then the ref ordered the bell to be rung. Goldberg rammed Hunter’s head into the stairs at ringside and then whipped him into the stairs in the opening minute of the match. When Goldberg attempted to press Hunter early in the match, his ankle gave in and he collapsed and reached for it in pain. That Hunter the opening he needed. Hunter threw Goldberg to ringside. Hunter seemed thicker around the midsection than usual, perhaps a result of his honeymoon meals. Flair worked over Goldberg’s leg at ringside, too. Hunter threw Goldberg back into the ring.Flair choked Goldberg as Hunter distracted the ref. Hunter applied a half Boston Crab. Hunter then wrapped Goldberg’s bad right leg around the ringpost, but he yanked Hunter with his legs face-first into the ringpost. Hunter returned to the ring and KO’d Goldberg with brass knuckles and scored a two count. Barely a pop for the kickout for some reason. The ref then went down when Hunter bumped into him. Hunter got the sledge hammer, but Goldberg kicked it into Hunter’s face. Flair climbed to the top rope, but Goldberg pressed him to the mat. Then Goldberg, selling his leg with a limp, grabbed the sledge hammer. He hit Flair in the gut with it, then approached Hunter. Batista entered the ring. Goldberg nailed him with the sledgehammer. Orton ran to the ring. Goldberg fended him off, too. That gave Hunter time to recover and he set up a Pedigree. Goldberg blocked it and backdropped out of it. Goldberg then nailed Hunter with a Spear and played to the crowd. Goldberg then hit the Jackhammer and went for the cover. The crowd counted to three, but the ref was slow to turn around. The ref finally did and counted to three. Ross said, “If you don’t believe the hype, you better start.”

Winner: Goldberg

Mark Henry went to work on Booker on the outside of the ring and whipped him into the ring steps and threw him back into the ring, but as Henry was about to re-enter, Booker hit him with a baseball slide and then sling shotted himself over the top rope onto Mark Henry. Booker T then went upto the top rope and came off with a missile dropkick to knock Henry down and Booker got a near fall.
Theodore Long got onto the apron to distract Booker T and this gave Henry the advantage as he hit a back breaker on Booker T and then locked in a modified version of the bow and arrow hold, and Booker was in a lot of pain. Mark Henry then started choking Booker T on the ropes and then draped him across the middle rope and ran at him and squashed Booker T as Mark Henry jumped through the middle ropes. Henry then locked in a chin lock on Booker T in the middle of the ring.

Mark Henry caught Booker T in a bear hug, again working on the back of Booker T as the referee kept asking Booker if he would like to give up, but Booker fought out of the hold with some shots to the face and then ran at Mark Henry, but Henry knocked him down with a clothesline. Henry then went for a leg drop but Booker T moved, he then hit a bicycle kick on Mark Henry and a heel kick, but it was not enough to knock the big man down. Booker ran at Henry and hit him with a couple of clotheslines but he still couldn’t take Henry off his feet, he then hit the Scissors Kick to knock him down but only got a two count.
Mark Henry regained control of the match and hit a big time leg drop on Booker T, but Booker kicked out at two. Booker was then given a powerbomb but only got a two count. Booker again went for the scissors kick and hit it, and then pinned Mark Henry for the win!

Orton vs. Rob Van Dam (c)
Mick Foley as guest referee!
Rob Van Dam started the match by knocking Orton out of the ring, as Orton went to to Ric Flair for some advice. Orton got back in the ring and applied a side headlock on RVD.
Rob Van Dam went to the top rope and came off with a cross body but only managed a two count on Randy Orton. RVD then hit a spin kick on Orton to knock him out of the ring and then ran and launched himself over the top rope with a cannonball onto Randy Orton to knock him down.

They both fought on the outside of the ring and Orton knocked RVD down with a beautiful dropkick and then rolled him into the ring and got a two count. Orton continued the offence and began choking RVD in the ropes, Mick Foley admonished him but he knows he has a five count to break. Foley then pulled Orton off of RVD and this bought Ric Flair onto the apron and he was admonished by Foley.

Orton whipped RVD into the ropes and went for a clothesline but RVD ducked and RVD then hit a cross body for two. Orton gained the control of the match back again and kept RVD on the mat with a front face lock. Orton hit a dropkick right to the face of RVD but again only managed a two count as he continued to work on the neck and head of Rob Van Dam.

Orton again went back to the side headlock on the mat to try and wear down RVD. RVD eventually escaped the hold with some elbows to Orton and then hit a wheel kick on RVD to knock him down to the mat. RVD continued his assault on Randy Orton with a side kick off the ropes.
Orton hit a big time DDT on Rob Van Dam and made the cover and got a very near fall but RVD got to the ropes, Orton again made the cover but RVD kicked out. RVD was operating solely on instincts and regained control and hit the Rolling Thunder on Orton and then dropkicked Flair through the ropes but the distraction allowed Orton to roll up RVD but he only got a two count. RVD then knocked Orton down with a spin kick and went up top for the Five Star Frog Splash but Ric Flair got on the apron but RVD knocked him down and Orton dropkicked Orton from the top rope. Orton then hit the RKO to pick up the three count and become the new Intercontinental Champion!

Shawn Michaels vs. Batista

The music of Shawn Michaels hit in the arena as he made his way out to the ring and he’s looking to settle the score with Batista, after Batista cost him the Elimination Match at the Survivor Series which also cost Stone Cold his career. With that the sat went out again, so I will be back with the rest of the report as soon as possible.

Mid-match notes:

We rejoin the match with Batista in control working on the lower back of Shawn Michaels. Batista had HBK in the corner and began choking him and then went to work with some right hands but Shawn Michaels fought back with some chops to Batista. Batista then locked in a backbreaker submission hold on Shawn Michaels but Shawn refused to give in, and his lower back is clearly bothering him. Michaels starts a fight back with some chops to the chest of Batista and knocked him down and went up to the top rope and came off with an elbow drop on Batista as he started to warm up the band.

Shawn went for the Sweet Chin Music but Batista caught him with a spine buster and then picked him up and hit another big time spine buster to HBK. Batista then went for the Tiger Bomb but HBK escaped and hit the Sweet Chin Music on Batista to pick up the win!

THE REST RESULTS...........

Matt Hardy vs. MaveN.

Maven and Matt Hardy hammered away on each other on the ramp as the two referees remained in the ring, attempting to get Batista out of the ring. Matt Hardy launched Maven into the security wall and then Matt rolled Maven into the ring where Batista laid him out with a vicious clothesline. Batista then gave Maven a power bomb and then he lifted him up and gave him another one as Matt Hardy remained in the aisle way, looking on at the carnage in the ring.
