Wuzzoo Ka Tareeqa

Asalamu Alikum funguy,

As far as I know (and no I am not aware of the “logic”) then the wudoo has to be made again even if its a ‘teensy’ bit o gas :stuck_out_tongue:

Just a couple of points (since you mentioned the difficulty of doing it again n again):

  • You can wash over just once (once is enough for wudoo)
  • You do not need to take off the socks, i.e. you can wipe over them.

(PA stressed well how Allah swt does not wish to place us in a difficulty :))

Btw, keep this in mind that one of the things which raises the ranks is making wudoo when it is a difficulty.

This page is very detailed w/ regards to wudoo and its rulings, do read it.

Hope it helps. Ask again if I missed a point or two, and I’ll try to ask someone who might know better.

I found a quick reference for the hadith I mentioned above. Its in Kitab at tahara of Sahih Muslim,

Book 002, Number 0485:

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Should I not suggest to you that by which Allah obliterates the sins and elevates the ranks (of a man). They (the hearers) said: Yes, Messenger of Allah. He said: Performing the ablution thoroughly despite odds, tranverside of more paces towards the mosque, and waiting for the next prayer after observing a prayer, and that is mindfulness.

OK, now what breaks a wuzzoo other than the obvious of ablution and touching women?.
