With guys its not really brand as much as style. I for one prefer the old fashion style. Silver or gold wrong watch face with a leather wrist. Some prefer the more sporty designs other prefer the metallic kind.

Find out which style your hubby to be prefers. Once you have that you can look at brands.

movodo is standard for all desis....lolz ive never heard of movado....thats generalising! :D

Personally i think it depends on the man and what his style is....armani have an amazing collection....

rolex wud be more for the Chronometer lover...wots the point of a rolex if ur man hates to wear a watch! :D

^ i agree movado is very desi..lolz but its perfect for father in laws...thats why my hubby chose his own armani watch..its more of a new style and they do have a great collection

of course its generalizing**, where i live its the norm to give out Movados and i might add if you havent heard about Movado you dont know much about watches, but hey thats just a generalization right?

havnt the slightest breeze abt watches...apart from my own and it goes on my wrist, but then again the irish arent that particular abt them neway....now if u'll excuse me i must get to the sole trader and have a look at this desi loved watch! :D

i really wanted to buy hubs a Raymond Wiel on our wedding but nearly had a heart attack when i saw the price, so i opted for a Armani watch (much cheaper)

It depends on your budget.
My dad has a substantial watch collection so I grew up fascinated with his watches. Some of my fave brands are Rolex, Cartier, Omega, Breitling, Blancpain, Chopard, Baume & Mercier, Hublot and Longines.

Basically, I get a visual feast whenever I pay a visit to Watches of Switzerland :D

i dont knw much abt watches but i knew that my husband loves them so i took him shopping...told him my budget and got a great deal on a TAG Heuer ...Carrera that we both loved.

there are tons of brands and designers, and it really depends on your taste and budget. popular ones that i've seen and heard about are:

Movado (popular at time of an engagement)

Go for a watch for which you dont find replicas if you want to stick with original brands....as you find replicas for rolex, omega, bvlgari, breitling etc......thats why we got tissot for my hubby!

A gentleman only buy watch once in a lifetime. Dad said fine watch transfer from one generation to another.

Watch is the only jewel on the crown of man, so select a watch with care, respect & dignity just like you choose a 50 years old burgundy.

I was given Montblanc Meisterstuck on my Nikkah - personally i am fan of Cartier & Piaget.. but i found Montblanc an excellent choice, it’s simple, elegant & classic :slight_smile:
