Personally, I’ve seen Desis, regardless of religion, get along as well as, if not better than, Pakistanis and other Muslims. A lot of people will not admit this, but our cultures are so similar that outside of the boiling pot of South Asia we get along quite well. I’ve also found a lot of Arab Muslims to be far more liberal than your average Pakistani, in that they have the occasional beer, wear bikinis etc, but this is probably just my personal experience.
And I would certainly vote for a Sikh or Hindu if I liked their policies.
