Technically, you are not suppose to marry ur GF :D GF's are like test drive;) They (GF's) give you an idea; How to handle your wife in the Future. ( Wife: Gal Selected & Approved by Ammi, Abba, Behan, Bhai etc etc)

people who do not make their life's decisions, on sound basis, eventually stall and are in the dumps.
so be it a girl friend and boy friend, if that person is given respect by someone, then it is beneficial to marry someone who you know, than a total stranger.
or maybe that is good for some people, but for all.
long term relationships, little memories make the mates feel more closer.
in arranged marriages, hardly people have time to get to know each other, but boys don get affected as much by non communication, as in our culture, women are treated as dumb heads, unless people are educated and decent.
i have been in a relationship only a few months and i will marry her, safely at my own risk :) and i am proud of it that i will.

as they say, what goes around comes around,
with your Girl at least you know what you are getting and can work together to improve things,
with a girl that someone is gonna find for you might still have love for her ex boyfriend who might come visit during business hours ;)

Nope, some do marry their gf. If a guy sense its a first time relationship and that she is totally green, then some guys feel honored. Its a matter of temperament.
The more strict you live, thus more conservative you will be in your choices.
There are no guarantees, the arranged shareef gal marriage will turn out as a pure angel. Lot of guys have been victim of some very nasty bad surprizes.
When you go for the arranged thing, of course, you have similar expectations....

Of course, why not? My wife was my GF for 8 years then my fiancee for 1 year and now my wife for 9 years.
And how would you know that the gal selected and approved by Ammi, Abba, Behan, Bhai etc etc, has not been test driven by somebody else to God knows what mileage.
