Re: Would you ever raise your hand on your father?
I am so tired of the west argument. Last I checked God owns it all, the east and the west.
And there are plenty of families here who do a lot for their children and vice versa. Just because they do it differently does not mean they don’t care about their families the way “we” do.
And it is disrespecting your mother if your God forbid your dad was to hit your Mom. There’s no reason for that and i’m not advocating punching him or anything like that but i believe that some action, whether that be pushing him away or whatever, needs to be taken. If you don’t do that, then i’d say you’re being pretty unfair to the victim who is also your mother.
Re: Would you ever raise your hand on your father?
I don’t know man but would your own zameer allow you to hit your father? There’s other ways of defense than hitting your father.
If it’s for Allaah like when the disciples of the Prophet :saw: were faced with their own family members in battle they fought them, that’s different and justified.
Re: Would you ever raise your hand on your father?
To 2 "nice folks above":
m_waleed: what if there in no time - or that a/both parent is/are hitting something that you dearly hold love to.
now now.....think u got some real problems with dads.....who would u hold dear more than ur parents?.... at least my parents are dearest to me than any thing(except perhapes ALLAH)...dont know bout u....and even if i am in a difficult situation...i would rather 'defend' both of them (if u get the idea)
Re: Would you ever raise your hand on your father?
my own children getting beaten by their GRAND PARENTS....now i wont have the strenght to stop them....parents take a pain first to born the kid and then to bring him up...and then if the kid turns against his/her own parents...IS THIS JUSTICE??... me thinks its the parents right to beat their childern (for obvious reasons).....me kids would be dear to me ...but i think not much more dearer than my parents....
Re: Would you ever raise your hand on your father?
well...yes i agree with as i have no kids...i may have different feelings for them...
but as you wrote me thinks 'those some ways' may be less than in the many ways in which i love my parents....
Re: Would you ever raise your hand on your father?
It's natural...as there is a world of a difference betweeen ones parent's and his/her kids.....you cant even compare between the two.....it's actually two entirely different situations in which u deal with ur parents and ur kids....
Re: Would you ever raise your hand on your father?
Yeah I do have kids. Now I know your going to ask how would I feel if my children hit me back to which I reply " I will not hit my fully grown children" Not from fear but from respect for humanity.
There comes a stage when you shouldnt really be hitting your children.
Re: Would you ever raise your hand on your father?
I wouldn´t let him hit me! Why? Do we Muslims not say that we should follow the Sunnah of our Rasool? He never raised his Hand on someone in his entire life, so why should we?
A beating father is a crackhead, a person who can´t control his anger, who is not able to solve the matter with coolness...that´s what our Religion stands for > Coolness
