riz, if the person has gone crazy (and i mean out of control) then you as a victim has full right to defend yourself - however defending does not mean retaliation in the form of raising hand on your parents. Thats what differentiates Muslims from Non-Muslims as Islam gives extremely high respect to parents.
Similar story can be of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) [PBUH] - When his parents failed to accept Islam - He[PBUH] left them.
