please dont bring relgion into this, i know we muslims, have a tendency to bring islam into everything. lets not. just think whatever ( nothing like jumping off a building) ur spouse asked you to do, not 100 things, but say just one thing. which you prefer not to, would you do it, because he or she is ur life partner and thats life......
NO, you cant keep Islam out of it. If she asks me anything thats un Islamic, I'd probably deny, else yeah pretty much anything ...even the things that I dont like.

I know I should but i don't. Many times he asks me to do something that I feel I don't want to do purely out of laziness. I think it's something very healthy when husband and wife listen to each and do something for each other they don't want to do.. it creates an unconditional trust :).. I am not such a good wifey i guess!
I learned the hard way a long time ago, if someone loves you, he'll never ask you to do something that will hurt you in the long run. For example, if you're with some guy who asks you to stop talking to your friends (and they arent bad people), you might do it out of love for him but why does he want you to do that? in the end, you'll end up cutting yourself off from everyone. My husband has never ever asked me to do something that wasn't good for me for the sake of his love and thats how I know he really cares about me.
