ho sakta hai novel acha ho but the serial is not so good,i think they ve made some changes in the story..some scenes r really worst that shay pointed out,this drama is not like DDD or Man o salwa...its quality is really low,who is responsible for this??some dialogues like ye karachi hai..yahan ye nahi hota...yun nahi hota blah blah....aur karachi girls ko ghalat andaz main dekhaya ja raha hai...i think everyone is resposible,director,producer n writer

anyways,i'm waiting for Mona comments n also Sultana Siddiqui

Yo're entitled to your opinion and so is sultana siddiqui however what follows is purely my opinion on this drama and you're more than welcome to disagree with it. if you could please convey it to the makers of piyaasi I would be glad.

1) First of all,making passion of christ doesn't give you the license to make soaps like piyaasi. Also, Passion of christ atleast had an actor like mel gibson and was technically sound film.piyaasi is a below average production with poor techical values . Besides, hollywood is an america industry and hum tv is pakistani so we can't cross the boundaries like they do in hollywood. Every country has it's own culture which should be respected otherwise you'll be like a 'kati patang'.

2) The makers argue it's a reality based novel. I agree that all sorts of weird people exist in reality but intelligent and responsible writers /directors always look for better ways to convey their message. After wathcing piyaasi anybody would vouch that the intention of the director/writer is titillation and not showing people a slice of life that would warn them or educate them. no such positive message comes out of the drama because it is a glamour based soap. it is noway an islaahi drama as purported by the makers.

3) Even if we ignore these things and talk about the technical side, the drama fails to capture the reality of urban and village life in a convincing manner. The lead actress fails to bring depth to her character.let alone that, she just doesn't look like a naive village girl. Garish make-up and clothes are highlighted and used to cover up for the lack of histrionic skills. In most of the scenes, the camera zooms in on weird angles and doesn't take much to figure out the 'saaf niyat' of the director(puke). From a writing perspective, the protagonist's actions are not explained properly. Her intentions are not clear or keep on changing every ten minutes which makes you loose interest in all the characters. The dialogues are mostly cheap and vulgar.They have literally abused urdu language. and whats with those scenes showing physical contact between aijaz aslam and that girl ? our tv channel owners should show some repsonsibility towards their audience. I'm highly disappointed that sultana sidiqui and noor-ul-huda shah backed this kind of cheap project. Our dramas used to be famous for their sophistication and class which are getting replaced by vulgarity.So sad!

Even if it is a reality based novel, know your audience! I am 100 percent sure that they are not following EVERYTHING in the novel and have made changes to the drama. I refuse to believe that the drama is being scripted and presented entirely as the novel goes. And just because a reality based novel mentions explicit scenes does not mean they have to be carried out on the screen. For example, if there's a graphic love scene mentioned in it, does it mean the directors should show that on the screen? That's going to be censored so why not something so cheap like licking glasses and disgusting dialogues that puts one to shame? TV is meant to be for families and most of the people I know watch dramas while sitting down with their spouses, kids, family members to relax and spend time together. What kind of messages are these people sending out by showing such ridiculous things? The whole 'oh it's according to the novel' is nothing but a bs excuse to show such vulgarity. The truth is, in a failed effort to become all 'modernized' and project themselves as all rich, classy and 'up to date' such as with Indian dramas, the producers/directors/actors and their team just end up with a miserable and pathetic project. I have seen Indian dramas being much better and less vulgar than the pakistani ones these days. As for mona lisa, that girl cannot act to save her life. Someone should tell her that wearing skimpy clothes, putting on layers and LAYERS of makeup, and stammering is neither acting nor beauty.

Ok so i have a question does ptv have any good dramas? (i dont watch ptv so i dont know about any dramas but i always thought that old dramas written by noor ul huda shah or something like that were only good enough while now the quality of dramas has fallen).

Where do I start? They're all mostly cheap these days, with completely fake acting, beqaar dialogue baazi that has zero entertainment value.

There are some good dramas that they come out with every now and then, but these channels need to stop making these overly expensive looking dramas that have no soul to them!

I like watching my telefilms - I feel like they're short, sweet, to the point.

Pakistani dramas should NOT be any more than 20 episodes long. I'm sorry, the fact that they make so many episodes and draw out the drama for so long forces them to throw in a lot of useless lines and story angles, which detracts from the main point of the drama. Its clear that the writer is usually tryign to bullshyte to fill in air-time.

uncle if something bad in happening in society that doesn't mean they also needed to be dramatized in the name of "reality".

i do know these things happen but look at the situation. these soaps comprised of more than 100-200 episodes, and forget about people actually sit there and think about the possible bad conclusion.

so what ever is presented will be absorbed by immature minds.

i have to say all comedy programmes. they are absolute and utter 'thrak' lol.
the candid laughter, the annoying jokes, the s**t acting, god i feel like chucking the tv outta the window when a 'comedy' programme is shown.

reality based stories what load of illogical crap. ab next drama chars bananey ke tareekon pe hoga kyunke bhai ye reality ka hissa hai. koi pagal hi hoga jo is tarah ke beqaar mozuaat pe drama likhay.
aaj kal ke so called comedy programs itnay ghatiya tareekey se likhay jaatey hain.majaal hai jo kisi cheez pe hansi aaye. comedy likhney ke liye pehley zindagi ki tragedies ko samjhna zaroori hai . na zaban pe aboor hai aur na technique ka pata hai. aaj kal har koi aera ghera nathu khaira writer banney chala hai
