I used to be involved in net zero housing where the home produced all the energy it needed, they had 40 solar panels per home and were super insulated, the hot water tank was over 200 percent efficient. As per law the utility company had to provide a 2-way meter and if we produced more than we used that the utility company would buy it from us. i wonder why every home there does not have solar panels.
