Sri Lanka are a tournament team. You would expect them to be in the last 4 of any major limited overs tournament. I thought that onslaught by Matthews in the last two overs really took the game away from Windies. 160 is always a competitive score in T20 cricket provided you field well and Lanka are a much better fielding side than Pakistan.

That being said Lanka have the same psychological problems against India in big games that we have against them (India) in WC games. So if it is an India-Lanka final I would expect India to win. I am sure all Lankan fans would be hoping that SA can somehow prevail over India in tomorrow’s semifinal..

I think India is stronger team than SA and most likely India would win (though nothing can be said with certainty). So, in my opinion, final would be between India and SL … and I believe SL would win the cup.

Anyhow, if India reaches final and SL could not win against India in final (for whatever reason) than SL do not deserve to hold the cup.

India can complete a ‘grand slam’ of limited overs trophies. They are the reigning World and Champions Trophy champions.

No team in history (I mean since 2007!) has held all three World titles at the same time

I find it incredible that it is a world cup tournament and the semi final is decided by D/L method. Why cant they have a reserve day. This is really bad.

this ain’t fair! i expected another sensational win by Sammy! 6 overs left, 81 to score…against Pakistan, they scored 82 in 5 overs.

Hmmm, didnt see them taking the pressure very well when they were losing to Pakistan in Dubai recently they were even having fights with the umpire and their behaviour on the field and tactics were pathetic to say the least. They just could not handle it.They might be better than Pakistan in handling pressure but only just, not much difference.

But I w’d say scoring 81 off 31 balls while chasing is more difficult than scoring 82 off 30 balls batting first (less pressure)

IMO Lanka would have still won if the game had gone the distance
