World Cup: Bad Refs, Player Flopping hurting the experience

This excuse against any kind of replay system by some has been that ‘human mistakes’ are part of the game. This is a ridiculous cop-out by those who refuse to accept that the game can evolve. Replay does not change the foundation or fundamentals of the game but in fact strengthens and supports them. In addition why aren’t refs required to tell the public (or players) about the calls they make? Ref’s could easily have a mic placed on them which they can explain the calls as they happen in real time without effecting the flow of the game. To accept a system that has fundamental flaws when a fix is available is stubborn and simply a failure by those in charge of the league.

True a quick replay will not interfere with the flow of the game, especially as one wrong decision can ruin the game for a particular team. All this rubbish about game slowing down is just that. Don’t they stop the game when someone is injured when cards are shown and bookings take place.
